I feel that it needs to be said: your art is AMAZING.
It doesn't have the extreme detail and contours of the usual kind of art I look for, but there's something about how you...'paint', I would call it, that seems to fire up the imagination, that makes what would be rough drafts for most artists seem like a complete figure. It's as if you had simply put a physical haze of mystery across the figures, and there's a charm to that too.
Like, there's this picture for example: If I look very very deeply at the highest resolution, it's clear that the limbs and even the armored skirt are basically just draft lines/squiggles, but at any other way of looking at them other than that level of minute scrutinization, the colors seem to blend together into a congealed whole. The figures don't lose strength for being akin to unfinished concepts, but instead stand tall with their own hazy, ominous charm that's particularly fitting for grim atmospheres and themes.
In addition, you are creative. There's so many designs here, and few of them intersect. You don't stick to a single thing (like, say, european knights). There's designs and themes from all over the place. Just look at the Rakshasa, the plague phalanxes, the Cloaked Figure, etc., and that's just from the immediate top. There's clear divergences and variance. I don't get bored at designs getting stale and same-y. You keep things new, even if you make something similar to what you've already made, because there's so much to pick from.
As a repository of inspiring 'concept art', you are top notch. Thank you so much for your work.
It just really stood out to me. I usually gravitate to art who figures (or at least the front-and-center portions of the image) are clearly detailed and defined, and I'd judge quality by the crispness and detail of the art.
Yours was different, akin to hazy drafts, yet feeling just as powerfully complete with it.
And to be frank, the designs you make just have a ton of dizzying variety and fun concepts, and their colors and themes tend to tilt towards the "dark fantasy" type that I love so much.
It's all just very lovely, and I wanted to express how surprisingly good it was to me.
