WOW, these are very reminiscent of "The Integral Trees" in the Larry Niven book by the same name, just a bit metallic. 100 kilometer long giants tufted at both ends with both branches and roots...
In an alternate timeline Niven wrote it as a steampunk novel and this image is on its cover.

You're right! I just focus on the art and start typing. Reading the comments first would probably be a good idea for someone new to DA, LOL, my duplication was not deliberate though, just enthusiasm.

We have a whole folder devoted to science fiction and fantasy. Not only can you see my impression of Epiktistes, The Kistec Machine, The Lady On The Grey and Winston Niles Rumsfoord, you can actually read the stories in which they appear as pdf files or website entries if you follow the links in the artist's notes.
