I've been playing with this formula combination to come up with some hand made fractal jewelry designs. They would be copper wire wrapped, maybe with stone settings and some copper sheet designs, not 3d printed. Something like this image would be overly ambitious for me just starting out, but we can dream. These would just be the basis for a design and not recreated exactly like the image. I don't have the knowledge or expertise in metal working (yet), and couldn't possibly afford all the new tools and supplies I would need all at once. You can expect to see some basic samples fairly soon though... maybe!
This is a wonderful creation. The detail is just scrumptious. I applaud your new challenge and think that it should be very rewarding. Although you are going with the traditional manufacture, I could easily see creating some base structures via 3D printing, then using that as an armature for the copper work. I look forward to your designs. Cheers, Jerry
Thank you! And that's a good point you make about mixing media. Something to consider.
