A couple of summers ago I painted two cards for a collaborative deck of Tarot cards based on the Norse Giants, The Moon and The Sun or Manni and Sunna respectively. Now, finally, the decks have been printed and I received my contributers copy through the post this morning!
The deck itself is stunning, a collection of styles, each card a unique portayal of the Jotun, a perfect way to get to understand the Giants of the Nordic myths just a little better. I'm very much looking forward to working with the cards and the beings depicted, and I invite you to take a look at the artworks which made this deck which i feel honoured to be a part of.
Having recently accepted two commissions for large paintings, which I'm very excited about, I've decided to offer commissions here.
If you like any of my artworks and would like to commission me to paint you something similar, please get in touch with me to discuss.
If there are any pictures you particularly like you're welcome to ask and I'll look into making up a print for you.
I will be selling artworks through my Etsy shop very soon, currently however, its all up for discussion, and if you contact me I'll see what I can do :)
(Prices will vary depending on materials cost, size of picture, difficulty and so on. I am willing to work on
I bought myself some fancy new crayons!
Ok, so the packet calls them "water-soluble wax pastels", but they're just fancy crayons really.
And they are real fancy. Very nice.
You can get some beautiful textures with them, lay them down thin and turn them into a wash, or thick and water transforms them into a smooth paint-like surface. And, as a crayon-type material, you can tell that they're good quality. Smooth.
They work just like watercolour-pencils, but are crayons, and because you can lay them on thick the colours can be much stronger and more opaque than the pencils.
At £8.50 a box of 10 crayons they seem a little expensive, but
