Team Fortress 2

Anyone playing?

Steam name is *shocker!* halfliquid.

W/ Crysis and CoD4, and never playing through all of HL2 (+ episodes), it's a good year to be a PC gamer.

How are you?

^^ And that.

Hey, Fuzz. Not much.

I stopped playing BioShock for some reason after a few hr's into it. Don't know why -- maybe I'm too much of a wuss? The combo of audio and atmosphere were giving me the heebee-jeebees, heh.

Yeah, Portal was short .. but all the expert levels and such makes up for the main story section, if you don't mind being frustrated, that is.

I always re-start playing HL2 (b/c I feel like I forgot what happened up to that pt. already) .. get up to about the same pt. and then stop again. And I don't know why. It's like the will is lost. If it's an especially cold winter, I'll get through it all.

And I figured that too. There's just not enough time to lug through a MMO game for me. Especially when I'll spend hours and hours leveling up and, well, not getting that "you're special and unique" feeling you'd get from a single player game. :X

that's why i prefer the diablo 2 game XDD

the bad thing it's that these days a pcgame means internet connection, and a mmorpg game...

Ha. I never bought Diablo II. Well, I bought it for my brother as a gift, but never played it myself. And I loved the first one. Oooh, how I miss all the clickering. D:

You know, TF2 is too simple for me. I played it a few times and I was like "hrm, looks cool" but I didn't get into it. That and my PC is total shit.

So, I'm playing CoD4 on Xbox 360.

It's simple to the effect that of the role of a single player, yes, but including the 'team' aspect and working through the maps is where the complexity lies. If you don't have a strategy and communication, you're simply not going to win a map against an organized opponent. Plus I think the style and humor is neat. (Btw: I hated the original TF w/ a passion.)

:slow:

I'm hoping to get my hands on CoD4 some time soon. How do you like it so far?

I love CoD4. Best game on the Xbox. The multiplayer is amazing. Granted, play Hardcore mode as soon as you unlock it. That's where the tactics and strategy is. One hit kills and no radar. That's how the game should be played!

I suggest using the G3 when you get good at aiming.

I was always a fan of the realism-mods for CoD1 + 2 MP, so it sounds up my alley.

I've yet to grab the orange box, although you say it's a good year for gamers it's a bad year for me. I've only just started getting into BF2142, I lag behind everyone else so much, but as so many games come out at once you think that you have to get them all, which then seems to ruin the gaming experience, for me anyways :( I'd love to get one of the new games though (or an old one like Halo 2) as so many people are recommending different games to me :( But besides that I'm all good, and how are you?

Orange Box may have been the best gaming-deal of the year, especially if you have not gone through HL2, imo.

I was a big player of BF2 (OK, I didn't clock 500+ hrs or anything insane, but it was all I'd play for a while!) but, I don't know, I really didn't get into the swing of BF2142. To me it was as if they added a futuristic skin, a couple new gameplay things, but it was still pestered by problems EA just doesn't want to fix (load times, cruddy menus) that ruin the experience ..

I'm backlogged w/ games as well, so I'm on the same boat. Not enough hrs in the day.

D:

And it's good that you're all good. I'm doing dandy. Thanks for asking!

I've never played HL2 which is why I thought the Orange Box might be a good idea to get.

I started with BF2142 so I just stick with that, but yeh I see what you mean. Finally someone else who lags behind to :D well, that's a bad thing D: ah well =P Good to hear you're ok as well

Eclipse Change Log: December 12, 2018

This week, nearly the whole DeviantArt team — encompassing staff members from Los Angeles, Tel Aviv, Kiev, and Vancouver, to name a few — has come together at our HQ in Hollywood to focus on Eclipse and plan what’s in store for 2019.

As a reminder, we’re continuing to work on the bigger community feedback concerns — including customization and improvements to Feedback — and we hope to share more soon.

Since the holidays are coming up, and many people on our team are traveling or taking time off, we won’t have a change log to share for a short while. But we want to let you all know that we are continuing to review and analyze your feedback, and we look forward to sharing more updates with you early next year!

Change Log

Literature descriptions are back! (Popular request!)After replying to a comment in Feedback, the notification is now automatically removed. (Popular request!)Comment link pages now have "parent" and "top" buttons, and are now centered for easy readability. (Popular request!)Scraps are back! You can now mention a deviant just by typing (rather than selecting them from the list). The Gift dropdown on profile now tells you when you've already gave them a llama or they are full of cake. Removed minimum character count in Status Updates and Journals, allowing deviants to share a post that simply includes a deviation, gallery, or video.
