Christine

Here's a piece of Christine art I did for the Christine Car Club forums.

I recently re-watched John Carpenter's Christine, based on the Stephen King novel, where a sentient/possessed car is bought by a boy named Arnie finds herself quite literally in love with the boy and kills anyone who gets between them. That's of course a very quick plot summery but I'm assuming you all have seen it.

After seeing the movie I felt inclined, as some often to after a movie, to look up reviews and forum discussions on the movie. That's where I found the CCC, although I don't know if I'll say with them long seeing as how they're mostly motor-heads which I am not, I found it admirable that there was a group with such devotion to the film and novel.

I felt inclined to do a picture in the style of the cars seen in Brave Little Toaster since that's a movie I've loved since I was a kid, link here: [link] and because most of the other art was in the format of Pixar's Cars which had the eyes in the windshield. So yes, what I'm saying is I'm trying to be original. XD I felt a little intimidated drawing the 58' Plymouth Fury for the CCC being as who they're EXPERTS in how the car would look. I had to make very sure I didn't miss any details.

For those who haven't seen the movie (Andrew ) you probably wont know how to read this character. But for all who have I'm hoping the expression fits. I was going for both sly and threatening (the killing element) but also attractive and seductive (her effect on Arnie in the film)

Anyway, yeah I know this is kind of a left field picture, but I put a lot of work into this and feel comfortable putting anything I draw up, not just IZ stuff. The next OAPR comic should be out next week.
