The Big Secret to Learning How to Draw:
In the Beginning... You see an apple, and you draw an apple. You look at your drawing, and it's utter crap. It looks nothing like the real thing, and you wonder why. "Hey, a real apple is red and round. My drawing is red and round. Huh. What's wrong?"
You draw some more apples. Many times.
And finally, one day, you have a Eureka! moment. You realize, *d'oh!* a real apple isn't entirely round! It's wider at the top, narrower underneath. It's got funky little lumps at the bottom. It's got a dip like a crazy deep belly button at the very top. You draw another apple. The result is better, but it's still
I am posting a final update here for my sister, whom you know as Hakubaikou. I had meant to do this sooner, but it's been very difficult for me. As some of you may have heard, Hakubaikou recently passed away in a car accident. Her death was instant, and she did not suffer any pain.
My sister loved art, and she loved interacting with everyone on this site, and meeting fellow artists at the conventions. I remember when she first discovered the online art community. She didn't have any local friends who were into drawing, and she was just giddy that she could meet so many other artists, right from her room. And of the people she met, many

3. At the end, you have to choose and tag 8 people and post their icons on the same journal.

Ten years since you've been gone. You were taken from this world too soon. However you were too pure for it. I hope you are safe and happy in that beautiful world in the After World. My only regret is learning about your amazing abilities too late. There will never be another like you.
Rest in Peace, dear angel. May you continue to watch over the loved ones you left behind. If anyone still out there is inspired by her talents, please continue to keep her legacy alive.
Came here to ask permission to use a fanart, only to read the artist has passed on. It's been a decade, now. Offering prayers for her, and my gratitude for the art she left behind. May the Good Lord rest her soul.
Recently found "Lovers on a Bridge" from a certain Chinese traditional music channel on Youtube, it was for a song titled "Trail of the Angels" in a channel named "TaiGekTou" if I recall correctly.
I was so mesmerised and I ended up looking for this page through credits mentioned there.
I just want to let hakubaikou's relatives and other people reading this that I'm really grateful for the legacy hakubaikou had left behind. Whenever I play "Trail of the Angels" with my dizi, I always imagine "Lovers on a Bridge" in my mind and it's almost certain that I'd cry. A lot.
