D&D's Forgotten Realms was always my favorite campaign setting over the others.
To me, it had the most interesting characters, Elminster, Drizzt, Wulfgar, Artemis, Erevis, Jarlaxle, Cadderly, the list just goes on.
But it was Alassara Silverhand aka the Simbul who appealed to me the most.
1 of the 7 Sisters, Chosen of Mystra, Sorceress/Wizard/Archmage, Ruler of Algarond, total badass with a temper to match it.
I wish there were more stories written about her, singularly fending off an entire nation of Red Wizards of Thay.
One can hope that Algarond and the 'unapproachable East' get featured in upcoming modules from WOTC.
Gotta say this artwork turned out spectacularly well. Alassara's face looks so lifelike she could be a real person.
: truly gifted at illustrating the female form. I have yet to see any other artist as talented with female faces & fabric textures as Dennis. His attention to detail is incredible and coupled with German work pride/responsiveness, he was a pleasure to work with.
