Description
The battlefield was in ruins, a wasteland of smoldering craters and jagged debris stretching to the horizon. Fires burned faintly in the distance, their dying embers casting flickering shadows over the destruction. At the heart of the chaos stood Superman, cradling Supergirl in his arms. Her normally vibrant figure was limp, her suit torn and bloodied from the ferocity of the battle. Her face, peaceful in sleep, bore the faint lines of exhaustion and pain, a stark contrast to the devastation around her.
Superman’s grip tightened around her, his jaw clenched as his piercing eyes scanned the wreckage. His cape, tattered and scorched, fluttered weakly in the wind, but his posture was unyielding, his body radiating a barely contained fury. The weight of his cousin’s injuries pressed heavily on his heart, and his anger burned as fiercely as the fires that surrounded him.
He looked down at Kara, her head resting gently against his chest, and his expression softened for a fleeting moment. She had fought bravely, as she always did, putting everything on the line to protect those who couldn’t defend themselves. But the sight of her hurt, so vulnerable, lit a fire within him that no force on Earth—or beyond—could extinguish.
Rising slowly into the air, Superman’s gaze turned steely, his face set with grim determination. Whoever had done this, whoever dared to harm his family and his world, would feel the full force of his wrath. The battlefield trembled as he ascended, the destruction below a reminder of the price that had already been paid.
Holding Kara closer, he whispered softly, "Rest now, Kara. I’ll take it from here." And with that, he shot into the sky, a streak of red and blue cutting through the darkened clouds, carrying with him the promise of justice and the fury of a protector who had been pushed too far.
