My Bio
I grew up in the mid west, Michigan to be exact. I respect and love my roots and I appreciate the history and the closeness of community but after 30 years of cold I have decided that The Valley of the Sun is my Mecca.

The sun and dust has awakened my soul and I have become reacquainted with my dreams of creating art everyday. My love of the human race and for life pushes me towards portraiture and life drawing but my inner urban loves graffiti and pop art and street art.

I'm shopping my portfolio around in hopes to get some commissions for portraits especailly for veterans and their families. I hope to bring them some joy with my art and some much needed cash donations to help their struggles.

My hubby and kids motivate me to keep working and I see my art getting better and better with every stroke.

So...I'm learning to vector.  I didn't think that I would like it, but I LOVE it.  I'm trying to not vector everything, but it's really hard not to look at my world as anchors and paths. Thanks a lot Lyst1!

Blowing' up!

The word "haboob" comes from the Arabic word habb, meaning "wind." A haboob is a wall of dust as a result of a microburst or downburst. The air forced downward is pushed forward by the front of a thunderstorm cell, dragging dust and debris with it, as it travels across the terrain. Haboobs occur mostly during the summer months in Phoenix, but are not restricted to the monsoon period. These dust storms are much more serious than dust devils. The wind during a haboob is usually up to about 30 mph and dust can rise high into the air as it blows over the Valley. A haboob can last for up to three hours.
