THREE DAYS TO LAUNCH

1)Pauline: Come on Tru, help a girl out

Tru: I told you, there’s nothing I can do

Pauline: You want me to beg? I’ll do it. I’ll get down on my knees and do it

Tru: We both know if you did that, you couldn’t get back up

2)Pauline: But...

Tru: Look, I sympathize Pauline. I really do. But there is no justification for you to wear your combat armor all the time.

Pauline: Yes, there is. Have you seen those new boots? They’re worse than these

Tru: Actually, they’re more comfortable

Pauline: Comfortable maybe, but I still can’t walk in them

Tru: Look, we’re supposed to be checking these last few crates to make sure there’s nothing bad in them before we launch.

Pauline: Alright alright

3)Tru: Now press that switch over there while I press these two

Pauline: What

Tru: All this stuff are prototypes

Pauline: Yeah

Tru: Compression rifles have been out for years. This is a brand-new model

Pauline: Oh... so what makes these different?

7)Tru: You go requisition us a shuttle while I go explain to the captain why we need to go out the asteroid belt to test fire these

Pauline: Already on the way.

8)Selet: Adjust power output by 5%

Frost: Adjusting

Thal: Just what the hell is going on here?

Selet: The power to the temporal systems required rebalancing

Thal: And no one told me?

Selet: You have been… how do the humans say… moody recently

9)Thal: And why do you think that is?

Selet: The results of your own actions

Thal: My getting assaulted by that deranged hologram while they all laughed is my fault?

Selet: Yes

Thal: Explain that

10)Selet: Simple. We… I intended to stay here. That would only be possible if the captain were still in command. Therefore, allowing you to slander her in court was not a permissible course of action

Thal: So, I was subjected to all that just so you could stay here?

Selet: Well, that was 60... no 70% of the reason

Thal: And what was the rest?

11)Selet: That is none of your concern

Thal: Listen you...

Selet: We… I would love to continue the discussion, but it is time for us… me to meet Nezima pick up our new uniforms.  

Thal: This isn’t over

Selet: On that we agree

12)Frost: Problem sir?

Thal: I trust that Romulan as far as I can throw her

Frost: How far is that sir?

Thal: Out the nearest airlock if I had my choice

Frost: Perhaps it’s for the best sir

Thal: Why is that?

Frost: I don’t think you would do well in prison sir

Thal: True.

Janeway: You know Micheal, when you said you wanted the Constellation to go out in a blaze of glory, I didn’t expect you to rush out and do it

Ford: Sorry, but that planet destroyer wasn’t going to blow itself up

Janeway: True.

Ford: Still, I’m going to miss her. She was my first command.

Janeway: Your first will always have a special place in your heart. But now you have a new Sovereign

14)Ford: Not from the Utopia yard?

Janeway: Oh hell no. it was prepared here at the San Fransico yard

Ford: I can’t believe all that happened

Janeway: Oh, there will be inquiries from top to bottom there, heads are going to roll

Ford: And of course she was in the middle of it.

Janeway: Technically for once, it wasn’t her fault. She just exposed their practices

Ford: What about those stories of the yardmaster coming back from there curled up in a ball sucking his thumb?

Janeway: we have no official comment on that. Except that the system will breathe a collective sigh of relief when the Los Lobos leaves

Ford:  with whatever that did that with her

Janeway: as you stated, it’s under her control. Consider it the most effective shipboard defense system ever

Ford: in those terms, I feel sorry for any hostile that tries to board that ship

Janeway: As a friend of mind was fond of saying, indeed.
