My computer is borked

So a week ago my computer updated, and my user profile disappeared. The data is still there, but I can't log in to it. The past week has been filled with multiple unseccesful attempts to recover it. Now I have a new hard drive and my back up from late February as I try to salvage and recreate everything. Remember, back up your computer monthly to save yourself trouble.
