Oh, Alexander, you're a lover, not a fighter!
For those unfamiliar with Prince Alexander of Daventry (which is sadly far too many people these days), he's the main character in "King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow", a computer adventure game released back in the '90s. At one point, he goes to pick up a sword, and finds it much too heavy for him - I don't remember if he actually says "Zounds!" at that point, but it's his catch phrase and was begging to be there, lol.
I loved this game so much... no, I STILL love this game so much! Anyone curious about my screenname wonder no more - in KQ3, Gwydion, the main character, is discovered to actually be Alexander. I always loved Alexander, and "Gwydion" was such a cool name, so it stuck. I've gone by Gwydion online since sixth grade.
I was in the mood to draw him (only my second time ever! what's wrong with me??) due to an announced release date for the fan made King's Quest IX, officially known as The Silver Lining due to copyright agreement. They had a long, hard road to finishing the game, including two cease-and-desists, but everything worked out in the end, and on July 10th, the first installment will be released! I'm so excited! ^_^
