NH: An Unwelcome Visitor

Art trade with ~Greeneyed-fox. She wanted her character Slith encountering one of my characters for the first time (I chose Ruze, the guardian of invisible forces). As you can see, it isn't going quite well.

I tried to spend less time on colouring this than my previous art trade. I succeeded in cutting the time aproximately by half, to a total of 10 hours. I used many references, for the composition, poses and background. I discovered a new way to blend colours together - by stroking them gently (or sometimes not so gently) with an eraser. This way has proven much better than blending with a white pencil, because:
1) it enhances the saturation rather than decrease it
2) blends better (less tiny white spots on my not-so-high-quality paper), and above all
3) creates a layer that is easy to cover with more pencil work, so it doesn't create those ugly dots of clinging aquarel lumps (which are clearly visible in my last art trade).
