Rebel Archetype

I took some photos of my girlfriend for a project of hers and I really liked them. I wanted to make a piece from them as I found the way they change the archetype of the rebel from male to female was interesting. I drew from elements of the Cultural Revolution in China, but wanted to represent how the ideals of revolution are not always possible to maintain.
