Isometric British Town by gunstar-red Isometric British Town by gunstar-red
This is the 1st part of the big project I mentioned in my journal.

The user can scroll around this map and click on 6 of the buildings, they are then taken inside to and internal images where an animated scene plays out.

I will post the internal images 1 a week from the middle of October, once the project has been completed.

Remember to click on the preview to see the whole pic it's massive so if your only seeing a 100x100 preview gif you have a lot more to see.

Did you do this for Future Ville then?
qkslvr Featured By Owner Sep 17, 2004
Absolutely amazing. Which I could do this sort of stuff... The only thing I see that needs to be changed is that down the main drag, the one with the double decker, they're driving on the right hand side. Need to switch those over. Sorry for being so stingy, but I grew up there, and it holds a special place in my heart. Still a :+fav: tho...

Well done.
I would lose what marbles I have been able to find, if I had to do something so detailed.

Aww, that's pretty neat, and faithful to British conventions too, although some areas like the twon hall in particular are just hugely oversized. The main door to it is probably way too large. It's still a pretty inspirational piece, so I'm going to :+fav: it anyway :).

Your building proportions are inconsistent (eg giant fuel pumps, ceiling heights in skyscrapers vs those in shops) but nevertheless I think this is amazing. Keep it up! :+fav

Could i ask you a question concerning how you did this piece? Did you do the buildings first then design the layout/map to fit them or did you do the layout/map first then design the buildings to fit in them? Thanks. Great job, btw.

Amazing piece of work! I'm speachless. It must have taken a really long time to do this!

Hey! It's all wrong! British towns have far more rubbish and less colour than this beautifull piece! This is gorgeous, so cute and colourful. Har, if british towns did look like that, they'd be vanalised!

Awesome job once again. Your pixel art skills are unmatched.

I love the blockyness of the piece. Some of your objects look a bit more square than usual ( the cows for example ), which is a bit different than the usual roundedness of perfection. I like that.

The color is vibrant as ever, which I think adds something to an already splendid piece.

There's so much to look at, it took me a while just to take in everything. That's something everyone can appreciate.

this is really well done. i applaud you.

however, since the title says it's a british town, i was wondering why the cars are driving on the right side of the road. don't they drive on the left side of the road over there?

I can see from this small snipit that this is going to be a pretty impressive piece altogether. All the detail is perfect as usual and the colouring is spot on. Great work!
