ToonTober'24 #2: Disney Afternoon

The second theme for ToonTober was Disney Afternoon, so participants were free to draw anything related to the multiple Disney Afternoon cartoons. Lately I have marathoned Gummi Bears and Tailspin, so I decided to do something that would combine both those shows. My original idea was to have Cubbi Gummi apply to Hire For Hire from Tailspin to fight air pirates, and I started sketching out the scene. However a irl friend of mine was having a very hard time in October and needed support, so instead of drawing the full scene with Cubbi, Kit, and Baloo, I just posted a pic of Cubbi alone on Twitter, Instagram and BlueSky so I could meet the deadline in time and still spend time with my friend. I did however include some redline sketches of my original idea alongside the solo Cubbi drawing. https://bsky.app/profile/guineapigdan.bsky.social/post/3l5ue7nxwlj2i But now that the ToonTober competition is over, I decided to finish up my original idea and add Kit and Baloo. What would it be like if Kit and Baloo really did team up with Gummi Bears? There would be some awkward meetings, like what if Tummi Gummi ran into Sergeant Dunder from Tailspin and they realized they both had the same voice? And then they met the Real Ghostbusters and realized Peter Venkman also had the same voice? And then they met Garfield and realized he also had the same voice? And then they watched reruns of Rhoda and realized that Carlton the Doorman also has the same voice as all of them? There must be a grand conspiracy that so many characters on these different shows all have the same voice.

BTW This isn't the first time I've done Gummi Bear fan art. I did these commissions back in 2014!
