Really well done overall, the lighting is soft, and yet sharp - it really makes the alien being appear almost ethereal in appearance, as if it is there, but seemingly invisible.

The originality is, well, original. I can't say I've personally seen a single piece in the past, nor the present that comes close to this. Even if there are, the vision and overall complexion of the piece is unique.

As for the impact, it speaks for itself - and is the reason I'm writing this now. Seeing galaxies, and cosmos in small spheres, being controlled, really makes them seem insignificant, as it the being could just toss them away and make another one. And this is a terrifying concept, because their formation, and their function is so complex and scary to understand.

So, overall, great complexion, and soft tones. But even more importantly - there is an essence of originality, and a whole host of questions that comes with this piece.

Keep doing what you do,

Boran

First off I want to say as I mentioned in my comment on your page that I love the conception. As for the technical issues, the lighting is fantastic all the way around, the way you managed to keep the being semi-transparent but still full of depth makes this work very believable. I like the fact that you filled up the screen with this being yet managed to show that he, is not the entire focal point. I believe that the point this manipulation conveys which is we may not alone in the universe is the true focal point. The color choices, even though muted, still pop off the screen when contrasted against the blackness. All in all, I would rate this a 9 1/2 until you bring me the Alien. Seriously though, I love this work.

If this isn't proof of our alien overlords, I don't know what is. Seriously though, stunning artwork!

Awesome!! Reminds me of TV series Fringe :D because of the title haha :d. I wish I could paint like you but I don't have a tablet :(.
gucken's avatar
:D thanks! Well, the wacom bamboo is really cheap I believe. It's a good tablet to start with and worth to give it a shot.

You're welcome! Also, thanks for the advice :).

Well, it's easy to say that I'm quite impressed.
I always was interested in shadows, light and reflections on curved objects. So I'm quite facinated with the eyes.

cool, thank you! :)

That's one of my favorite pictures in the World *_________* I can't believe that I learn about its existence only now...

:D thank you!
I can't believe I'm replying only now!
Sorry for the delay :D

Well it's not like I complemented your work only because I wanted your gratitude :) I did it cause I liked it :)
It really does make you wonder about our place in the grand scheme of things, although no one can really answer that. Still, if this painting were reality, I'd be happy to have such a studious and patient-looking overlord XD In all seriousness, though, excellent composition and balance of the elements in this work
gucken's avatar
:D yes, I guess having an overlord like that isn't that bad after all!
Thanks! :)
