Personality: To sum up Ryu's personal would be to say he's an arrogant asshole.
He's confident in his skills and knows that he's worth a lot to the humans, but assumes they only see him as a tool and treats them just the same.
Unlike most famous dragon hunters, he never had the same rider for a long period of time.
 As soon as they get to know him better and grow attached to him, he'll start to kick and bite his rider and refuse to let them climb on his back ever again.

Towards other horses, he's as polite as he absolutely needs to be, unless they try to get close to him.
In that case he'll get really nasty and try to hurt them both mentally and physically to scare them off.
No one really knows why he's trying to hard to stay isolated from others, but Empress decided to do something against it and assigned Seeker as his guardian to teach him how life at BuD is working.
Neither of them seem to be happy about this though...
Until his "social issues" are resolved, Jay has decided that Ryu won't be used for dragon hunting, so he's being trained in cross country and halter for the time being.

History: Raised at an Acadamy specializing in training dragon hunters and their mount, he received strict training along with fellow Nordanners. While he used to be only average, after a certain incident he quickly rose above the other horses and made himself a name in the dragon hunter scene.
After he -once again- refused his rider, Jay used that chance to buy him for BuD stables because she wanted to own a Heat baby and saw a chance in this to finally get their dragon hunter team started.
His arrival caused quite the uproare withing the herd and he's currently staying on a pasture excluse for BuD's and TFR's snowdripples.
