Oh it's been forever since I updated this thing! But anyway!

Tiny Barbarian DX, along with 59(!) other indie games are all on sale on the Not on Steam Sale, a sale for cool indie games that, well, aren't on Steam! As you probably know getting on Steam isn't easy even when your game is awesome, so this is meant to draw attention to some of those titles--GreenLight links are included so you can up-vote your favorites, and Every game is at least 25% off (most are more).

Besides TinyB, the list also includes some real eye-catchers, like Race the Sun, Blood of the Werewolf, Full Bore (I really recommend that one), Angvik (I did some art for that!), and Aces Wild: Manic Brawling. And Pushcat! And Super Lemonade Stand! And.. Just go check it out, alright?

I have been neglectful and am only telling you about this in the last 24 hours of the sale, it ends tomorrow, but better late than never, right?

Click that link! Discover something cool! And buy it! ;)

Tiny Barbarian is backed!  We got to 100% with about 700 backers and 6 days to spare!

www.kickstarter.com/projects/3…

That.. that's all, really! I'm super excited, obviously!

Thanks for your support, guys! :D (And of course, there's still time to back more--I got a mac stretch goal target going now, too!)
Hello all!

As my watchers know (some of 'em, anyway), I've been working on a sequel to my old Tiny Barbarian game. The new one has new and better graphics, new enemies, new moves, smoother combos, and new short stories. I've been working on it in my free time for a while but the time has come to try for full time, so I'm seeking support on Kickstarter.  I really appreciate everyone who has expressed interest in it so far, and I hope you'll be able to chip in a bit.

Here's the kickstarter: www.kickstarter.com/projects/3…

And here's a (mostly) gameplay trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqYMgt…

Thanks again, every tiny bit helps!
A bit of a re-post from the GHZ, sorry to the three people this overlaps with. :)

The US/English language release of Pix n' Love's The History of Sonic the Hedgehog has finally been revealed www.amazon.com/History-Sonic-H… (I think they announced it was coming), due out in October and published by Udon. I feel kind of like if a Sonic the Hedgehog coffee table exists I am obligated to own it in anticipation of the day I own a coffee table, but I thought I might solicit some opinions in case anybody from Europe already snagged a copy. I haven't been too impressed with the few preview pages I've seen (I doubt any of the text is going to reveal much, and there seems to be a lot of text!), but I have to assume there's a lot more in there.

Edit:  I got a link to a page-through on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rD-QJI…;"Spoilers" included, I guess!
So who else entered the Sega contest?! blogs.sega.com/2011/11/11/soni…

I just finished up my entry, but of course, we're not supposed to post them anywhere!  I'd love to win (especially one of the signed prizes!) but the best part is getting to see so much great art, and getting to show off mine, too, of course! As an artist driven by instant gratification, having to wait is utter torture..
In case any of you are interested, I recently posted a play through of our old game, Sky Puppy, to YouTube.  It includes some comments from me in the annotations as well!  Enjoy!

You can download Sky Puppy over at StarQuail.com!

Hello friends and watchers!

I have a special limited-time commission offer!  I had great fun (and I am poor) working on these guys, so for the low low price of only $15US (less than half my usual rate for color work), I will draw your requested character, in color, in a style similar to these bad boys here:

Skeletor: gsilverfish.deviantart.com/art…
Bob Sparker: gsilverfish.deviantart.com/art…
Orin Iron Ox: gsilverfish.deviantart.com/art…

My normal commission deal (see here: gsilverfish.deviantart.com/jou…) often includes rough sketches, progress updates, and tweaks afterward to ensure things are just how you like them.  That is not what this is!  Things will be done fast, when they're done they're done, and I may make intentional design changes that I think are rad.  Please note me privately or email (rvr67michael ut charter dut net) for payment details.

This offer will close when I get enough requests so please respond quickly if you are interested! :)

PS - Astroman! www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZlD6J…
Astroman, the game I've been showing here every now and then is finally out on Xbox Live's Indie Marketplace!  Please give it a shot, or if you don't have a 360, convince a friend who does have one to try it out! :D

Here's the trailer again: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZlD6J…

And here's the link to the marketplace site.  You can add it to your download queue, and it will begin downloading the next time you turn on the 360: tinyurl.com/2a2zmu3

We'd love it if you'd buy the full game, but even just downloading it will really help us out, as every download puts us closer to a spot on the top downloads list.  Thanks!

Hey guys, I am making myself available for commissions!

I have done a few for happy folks via my Dawn of Time site (www.dawnoftimecomics.com) and thought I might get more if I open myself up here, so here I be!  If you've seen my art (and if you're reading this then you probably have) you are undoubtedly familiar with my style--I'm happy to push myself in a particular direction for you but in general you probably already know what to expect.

I will totally draw for you:

Animals, extinct and extant (natural or anthro)
Monsters
People
Robots
Things

I will even draw them sexy, but not in a way I deem explicit or degrading.

Pricing is in US Dollars via PayPal, and it begins at $20 for a character with a few simple background elements (and monochrome shading if you like), and $35 for the same thing in color.  Your image will be high-res and ready for printing on an 8x11 page, or larger if needed.  Here are some examples that would fit this category from my gallery:

Liopleurodon (B&W w/ monochrome shading) www.dawnoftimecomics.com/Strip…
Dawn & Blue (B&W w/ monochrome shading) gsilverfish.deviantart.com/art…
Thief (B&W) www.starquail.com/michael/thie…
Some Robot (B&W) www.starquail.com/michael/tetr…
Wylkes (Color) gsilverfish.deviantart.com/art…
Chickenhare (Color) gsilverfish.deviantart.com/art…
Smoking Bunny (Color) gsilverfish.deviantart.com/art…
Elaborate Buzz Bomber (Color) gsilverfish.deviantart.com/art…
Pocket Weasel (Color) gsilverfish.deviantart.com/art…
Safari Man (Color) gsilverfish.deviantart.com/art…

Hey guys!  I have a huge pile of video games and I've decided to sell some of it.  If you are into video games you should look at it, or if you know someone who likes video games, tell them, maybe?  Anyway, the action is on over at my LJ.

helldray.livejournal.com/74137…
My two most recent deviations (I hate calling them that!) are comic pages for a webcomic sort of thing that I am thinking of doing!  I have a 15-ish page story to kick it off with that I'm going to at least try to do entirely, and then we'll see where it goes from there, if I can handle such a thing consistently, or if I even still want to after that.

So, I would appreciate any input on these, regarding things like art/coloring style, if they look remotely professional or at least web-worthy, anything at all.  I am serious about this, so any comments would be really appreciated.

I have been delighted to notice that my pageviews seem to be going up more rapidly lately, because as they say, I measure my self-worth based on web hits.  5000 is like a blink in the eye to a lot of people but it's been over two years in coming so I'm gonna do one of those fun things where whoever sends me a screen capture of my 5000th hit gets to request a picture of anything--

even Sonic fan characters :( :( :(

--and I will draw it.  For free!

So get me some hits pls!
