This is a re-done version of: [link]

The original was done on a postcard, this was done on A2 paper, so it's about... 16 times bigger? I think that's right... Anyway, the difference in size is large.

This image was taken on my 6-yr old digital camera, so the file quality/size/etc isn't great. If I can get a better version then I'll post it.

EDIT: On some very sound advice, I've digitally filled the sky portion black, along with the area around the border, and the image is a lot stronger now, in my opinion.

Well, thank you very much, my dear. I'm in the middle of a 'vertical' version of it now, but it's not working out as well.

I can see that. The flowing lines in the hair/water is one of the strong points, so a vertical version might looked a bit cramped, maybe?

The vertical one is more like the Original -- aka '02 klype' with the hairpattern in the 'moon' in the backgorund, rather than the foreground. And it worked brilliantly there, but not so much in the bigger version.

I agree, I'd test black before going for it.
I looks very professional compaired to the orginal, more 'art' than 'comic'. I'm not suggesting that makes it better or worse, just different.

Done, and uploaded on top of the old one.

I agree, the 'feel' of both is very different -- the smaller one, by nature, is a lot more 'chunky', whereas because in comparison the same width lines look thinner here, it looks more 'artsy'. Incidentally, this is the first picture I've done which my wife has asked to put up on the walls, which is rare praise indeed.

And I'm really going to have to get my act together and organise that drink...

I am rarely this proud of myself.

looks very clean. I think black would be nice. but just to be safe you probably wanna color it via computer first and see how it turns out.

I've taken your advice and followed it through, and I think the image looks a lot stronger now, thank you :)
