Photo: Me.
Minor Post. Pros: Me.
Taken: April 16th 2015.

Small water droplets hanging from a plastic
bead and wiring, set-up with a bright background.
The bright light comes from a powerful yet tiny LED
flashlight and its shining into the background.

I love the glowy effect of the main/larger drop.

Lovely Macro Filters, 3 used, 24+ magnification total.
Simple camera accessories can really go a long way :]
No cropping was done to get this close, I GOT that close.
This means that the camera data is not correct.

I really hope you all dig this!!

Thank you so much!!! I am very happy about it, this looks like a simple
shot but it was a bitch to get the drops to hang on the prop I was using :giggle: :thanks:

I bet it was, but the results of getting this great shot has to be worth it now.  Nod   Clap   Hug

Yes, it was worth it when I took it, simply because
I learned a lot with that small little series. I also
learned about blending my backgrounds too :D

I'm hopping that I'll be getting my office room back in a few months, and Janie and I are going to start our own little business online. At the least I'll have an office to work and figure out a way to draw again and do macro, and other types of photography as well, I'm so excited about it Sheri, I'm just dieing to unpack all my books and supplies and shelves and tables and stuff. :)

Hello there!

You are right about something: drops/liquids are pretty prominent on the macro gallery and they eventually get a DD, which is why you could feel like we "only" DD them, but if you look at our DD roundup for the macro gallery, you will notice that there is much more to see than "just" this =).
If some artists who took some waterdrops macro, like GrotesqueDarling13 did, get a DD, it is because they did a remarkable job at it in my opinion. Taking macro photographs of drops is far from being an easy job: it requires technique, photography knowledge, patience and creativity.
But we, indeed, need more diversity! So if you know any artists that have something else to offer than waterdrop macro, or even better! If you can make macro that are different than waterdrop, than feel free to suggest them to me for a DD or even suggest yourself! I would be glad to go through them :aww:

Thank you!

P.S.: You can also check this out: What do I do when I disapprove of a Daily Deviation feature?

Again, thank you!

Thank you for this, I feel like it was needed.
I understand there will be hate, but to express it on someones
work because you don't see whats special, is just blood boiling.
But thank you all the same for taking the time to address this
within a comment while explaining how things work.

I have been on dA a long time, so I see and know about the variety of subjects
that are selected for DD's. What goes into suggesting, and presenting. It truly
means a lot to the community that the hard work is paid off, one way or another.

Thank you  :)
If I'll find something interesting, I'm going to inform proper people.
Greetings :)

This is a really rude comment. Ya don't like my work
and you don't like the fact it got a DD, well shove that
arrogance and jealousy up your ass OR don't comment at all.
