Thanks to Nate, who sent me a hint that some of my stuff is getting sold on Society6. Again. So I decided to open a shop there by myself and offer some things: society6.com/grobi-grafik :) (Smile) Of course I can't upload commissioned work, but when You interested in something of my gallery, feel free to give it a try? :)

Cheers!

That is a good solution! Many artists I know have come to upload their art on a tiny resolution and/or with huge watermarks. It's sad that so many precautions must be taken in order to prevent art theft.

Most traditional artists I know faced that issue at least once (being a mediocre traditional artist I don't have that problem myself).

Btw, if you ever want to sell any work that I commissioned from you, feel free. Many artists I commissioned do it, and I don't mind it. The art belongs to you, after all ^—^

Yes, I don't how how they sell them, the resolution can be only from the website and must look terrible printed. I've upload the highres-version but yes, I'm really late with it. I had no real interest in shop, the patreon-idea looked more promising, but I have no skill for commercial things. :( I have done some commissions, but for me it wouldn't be fair to sell them twice.

I don't see it as selling things twice:
When I commission an artist I pay to get my characters or my ideas depicted, not to own the finished piece. The artist does, even if crediting the owner of the characters is the right thing to do.
Of course, some commissioners might be upset about their ideas being sold, and I understand that, though I believe that if they want to have the exclusive ownership of the art, the artist could charge them more for it. In my case, I don't worry about the artist using art done for me for commercial purposes, I see it as my characters reaching to more people even if the art isn't mine.

About your quality, I believe that people with less skill than you are selling their art successfully. Your style is very smooth and visually appealing, so I don't believe that your quality isn't enough!

I don't know, maybe I just need some ... :D ...
And I have to admit, usually the commissions are a little bit special not very interesting for a bigger audience. So I just see no need to put them in the shop even without asking all clients, that would be just too much effort. I'm a lazy person. ;)

Yeah, I understand! Some commissions can be generic or visual enough to appeal to the general audience, but others are just too specific. I am just sharing my two cents on the topic though.
It's everything because a friend artist of mine avoided selling prints of the commission she did for me because she didn't feel right like selling it, and when people asked for it she asked me for permission. It ended being one of her best sellers. I never considered before than an artist would consider not selling a piece because it was commissioned, so now I tend to specify that I don't mind it.

Ah, okay. :) Well, it's not that the shop is a big moneymaker, so the problem is more in theory right now. ;D

Well, I hope that your shop becomes a bigger moneymaker, independently of everything else that we have discussed ahaha
