Tyr-Shardan, Dragonborn

Recently I stumbled across gaming sessions in a coffeehouse that opened a while back.

These are those short (two hours or so) AD&D games, so, I signed up- why not? The list was given, so I decided to try a "Dragonborn(?)" character. A cleric, which seems to be an unusual character class these days. Only up to third level was allowed.

The only problem was, I am familiar with AD&D rules...from 1977. Obviously that wasn't going to help too much here. Luckily there is a website that allows you to input a few basic facts and then, with one quick click, you have your character.

Since it was required to give a character some background well, this one got one all right: as a youngster he had somehow managed to step completely outside the AD&D reality (it is apparently a "closed reality," like a biodome on our world) and enter the First Heaven, or the true Astral Plane. It was there he met Tir-Esisanji

as well as Great Priest; the God of the Mountain, ruler of the First Heaven, eventually returned him to the AD&D reality, but he was never quite the same- needless to say!

The "trophy" he wears is the fang of a giant spider since he will not kill any inoffensive creature; to his kind he is unusual in that his ways seem a bit quasi-Asian and he has spoken of "strange things."

This is the first picture, even if a quick sketch, I've done in a while. Somehow other efforts were "off" and only very recently has my artistic ability really returned to normal. Only now can I finally work on some long-overdue efforts. Whatever happened a few months back had affected me in that way, although mundane actions had quickly returned to normal.

Those gaming sessions were very enjoyable, and that probably helped.
