"It was said that the 'WarMother' of all Magus& Vigilants, is a divine being. Every kingdom has it's own god residing deep within the vicinity, that is the source of all life on the said kingdom. The Mother can also give birth to powerful beings born of myths and legends, known as Curators to protect them." -The Seer
Siouxsie lives in a kingdom called "Cetera", a place of worship even farthest from Hallownest& Ecclesium. As a result, many are resilient enough to travel to Cetera on a religious pilgrimage, it is unknown for travelers what deity the pilgrims worship yet upon hearing that the altar grants miracles and wishes, is most likely the reason it has gained religious relevance. Some rumors say there is another way to get through the kingdom without having to brave the blizzard storm, but that path to Cetera is a long maze within the giant tree filled with pits and monsters. Whether it was fashioned this way naturally or caused by the Cetrans is unclear.
Until now, Cetera remains a thriving kingdom unlike it's counterpart, Ecclesium. The kingdom is situated on a colossal tree, it is surrounded by a blizzard storm, protecting it from harm. Majority of the bugs of Cetera were originally Ecclesians, but, following a disagreement over the Ecclesians' taste for war and death, the Cetrans fled from their original kingdom and moved to the ancient tree.
Even if their kingdom was flourishing, Siouxsie suddenly returns her crown to her elder sister, Melisandre and left the kingdom with a few other magus and her personal knight, Peshmerga, in search of her "counterpart"(Rozen), upon realizing he no longer resides in Ecclesium, begins to trail after him in the kingdom of Hallownest where he has taken place in what used to be the Wyrm's White palace. Although her departure had left most of her citizens confused as she was loved and cherished by the people, her sister replied that she simply "got worried for him, so she has to leave.", She spoke but suddenly added. "I felt like there was somewhat a romantic relationship between them before that was unseen by many."
Besides being the former ruler of Cetera, Siouxsie is also a sorceress who specializes in creating elixirs and which makes her target for Kadaj(Melisandre's half breed son), only because he was after her potions for immortality.
Personality:
Siouxsie has this "que sera sera" attitude, she's lazy and prefer lounging around over acting formally and had a somewhat sheltered upbringing; compared to other gods. But she takes a kind and loving stance towards other bugs. She is friendlier, playful and more open, shares more opinions and thoughts with the fewer bugs she's close to. However she still keeps her more serious feelings to herself, not wanting to burden others with her problems. In the past, Siouxsie was much serious, was formally preferred by her real name, Cetotepix and had long hair down to her ankles but has changed ever since Kadaj nearly brought her creations, the Liliveyns, into mass extinction, and is now grateful that Eclair's adoptive family takes great care for the last living Liliveyn.
Relationships:
Rozen: the God of Death was unknowingly Siouxsie's 'counterpart'(and now, spouse), she often teases him over any number of subjects and affectionately calls him "Rozzy", leaving him into a flustered mess. There are times they bicker over the simplest things which result into nearly starting a war and has Rialto being the mediator for the two. Despite their frequent bantering the two get along very well and deeply care for each other, enough so that other similarly higher beings like Sinclair mention the idiosyncrasy of their relationship in comparison to other moths and gods. The two share a very close bond with one another, close to the degree that Rozen has a near-phantom "sense" over the well-being of Siouxsie. Though Siouxsie is abit older than him, she usually depends on him for knowledge on topics such as torture and violence. Later on, they started a family and have ten children, with the addition to the ones Rozen and Rialto adopted and Perpetva.
The Moth kings: Rozen's 'brethren' in the squad(Sinclair, Noctae& Reficul), they all formally met Siouxsie during the meeting, and are all in good terms with each other. She usually does not intrude whenever Rozen and Sinclair argue because she finds it entertaining to watch. But she doesn't take a backseat when both brethren get into a much more heated argument.
Eclair: Thalassa's(Siouxsie and Melisandre's sister) last living Liliveyn. Back then the Goddess thought leaving them in the Blue Lake would be much safer until Kadaj kept track of her which resulted into hunting all of them down, Eclair manages to survive by hiding in the deepest parts of the Lake. The Liliveyns were Thalassa's most proudest creations, but ever since Siouxsie has failed to protect them, she was ashamed to tell the truth to Eclair and left her be since her 'daughter' was much happier with her surrogate family. However, Eclair's real name was discovered when Sinclair searched through a sacred chamber hidden somewhere in Greenpath, deciphering a historical wall engraved with the Ceteran's past inscriptions, including an emotional message from their Goddess to Eclair, stating her birth name was "Vadise" along the message.
Ebrietas: while not biologically related to Siouxsie, Ebrietas' parents were one of the few Magus that followed their Goddess to Hallownest and has decided to live peacefully in Greenpath, making her the last generation to be born among the Magus in Hallownest, she was raised by a flock of chimers after her parents died. Siouxsie stated that growing up with chimers did little help to Ebrietas' social skills as she acts very timid and reluctant most of the time but eventually has grown attached to her surrogate family, which made the Goddess even more surprised as the butterfly slowly becomes open and vocal to Eclair and Nuri the most and it is noted that despite her young age, Siouxsie does notice Ebrietas is a strong magic wielder.
Kadaj: Siouxsie's nephew and Melisandre's estranged son, was born from a union between Meli and a half-immortal. Even though his aunt left the kingdom in search of the Scion, Kadaj bears no ill will and respects his aunt's decisions. Both share a close and mutual bond between each other until Kadaj's desperation for immortality tarnished the relationship.
- Kadaj is a new bug villain to be introduced sooner or later, he's also a peacock butterfly.
- Eclair's real name, Vadise, is a word play for "paradise"
- Siouxsie's outfit is inspired by Dhrtar's festival skin, also Imma thank my buddy leprincexD for sharing posts about her in FB :>
- Siouxsie's real name "Cetotepix" is backwards for "Xipe Totec", also the god of life-death-rebirth. Even the skull symbol on her fluff is in reverse(which is supposed to be placed behind it)
- the flower on Siouxsie's hair was a gift from Rozen, it is a Cereus/Queen of the Night flower, it was supposed to bloom once a year but in Siouxsie's case.. Rozen might have added abit of magic in there..
