One of the illustrations related with the Baptism of Poland, made for The National Centre for Culture (my personal favorite from the series actually ).
Curious about more illustrations from this series and info about the project?  You can find it all on my BLOG  Sherlock Holmes

I love this picture!🥰 But I have some doubts about the windows. According to the architecture, it's not in Italy, but in some rather nothern country. So it's sometimes winter here, and a scriptorium with such huge windows and high celling can hardly be heated properly in winter. So you have to move all the books twice a year (to a warmer place and back), because neither can books be stored in an unheated room in winter, nor can the monks sit there for many hours a day. Besides in the summer book covers fade very quickly under direct sunlight and parchment dries out and loses its flexibility. So if I were the abbot, I would make the windows here at least three times smaller and move books to some darker room or use such curtains.

I apologise for the useless nerdiness🙇‍♀️ The drawing is very atmospheric and romantic!
