Being a woman myself, nothing else riles me up when women use this excuse  making them automatically victims because they are female.

Woah woah woah okay looking at the comments, I interpreted this in a completely different way

The fact that being woman does not equal being a victim doesn't mean that women aren't oppressed by our society (and men! And everyone outside or inbetween!)
I interpreted this to mean simply that women are strong. Isn't that what feminism is in the first place? All genders are equally valuable and strong. Yes, I know it includes "feminine". That's because woman have been historically oppressed/ historically, many countries were patriarchies. The "feminine" in feminists doesn't mean that feminists believe that only woman suffer
Saying that feminism is sexist is like going to a funeral and saying "Well I've had people close to me die too!"
-----------------
There's a fine line between supporting equal rights for everyone regardless of gender and saying that you deserve a pity party and you should just give up:
I would call myself a feminist, but that doesn't mean that I believe that women are just victims. Yes, society is fucked up. I think we should acknowledge that if we want any hope of changing it.

What I'm saying is
Women aren't just victims, but gender roles in general still affect people's lives negatively.

On the subject of feminism, just to confirm:

No, I'm not going to calm down because then nothing would change. Maybe you disagree with me. Okay, no, I don't hate you because of that. But you can't say that my experiences aren't valid
I also know that many people have it worse than me. That's exactly why I'm a feminist

Don't hate on me but just sayin... I think that like... something between 80 to 90% or maybe 70 to 90 of this can go to sexuallity to, cause look... its 2016... by now your "oppression is just dealing with douche bags, but EVERYONE deals with douche bags... not having your safe place isn't being oppressed, no one has there "safe place", grow up, having a safe place isn't equality for anyone, and you want equality right? Not to mention you have the MILLIONS of gay/straight/bi and trans people on your side ready to be your white nights anyways which SOME STILL FAIL TO SEE SOMEHOW... and you don't have to tell me that there are some people who are truly oppressed cause yes I know that exists but I feel like its over exaggerated at this point... and the people who have the audacioty in my to go nuts over this IN MY EXPERIENCE, are the ones that have a nice house cloths luxaries good parents and the oppurtunity to have friends and a future, yet they always wanna pull that oppression card for some douche bag and that point the finger to others who don't deserve it, equality right? infact I've also talked to people who are way more mature than this and they are the actual ones oppressed in some way.

Some women out there, think they should be treated better than everyone else out there because they are women. Because if your born woman, your automatically a victim, and everyone should treat you like a princess since you will have it harder than any other person that is not a woman. And as a woman myself that is bullshit.

A voice of reason on the internet? I never thought I'd see the day...
Honestly, this "forever a victim" mindset that has been going on is so frustrating. I've noticed a lot of people using something terrible that happened to them (or just simply who they are) as a way to treat other people badly. It's like, being a victim does not give you the right to be a jackass -_- Also, I don't understand people who call themselves feminist, yet treat other women like they're so easily brainwashed and delicate. Don't they realize they're doing the same thing that they say they're against? Jeez.

Yepp, it seems like being a victim of any crime/hate makes you better than other people and also makes your opinions/views more important than others aswell. Oh my god tell me a bout it, if a woman doesnt agree with feminists, shes brainwashed by men. The actual F. I cant stand this way of thinking xD If you want to fight for equality, atleast be a humanist or equalist. The word feminist isnt even equal, since it has feminine in it. Which I personally am not.

Yes, I prefer an umbrella term for equality, instead of using a word for each group (that's kind of inefficient, lol). I think what frustrates me about feminism is that it just...seems to be a bit all over the place? Like, some women say its just flat out for equality of both sexes. But then, other women will use it to hate on and stereotype guys. Then other women use it to hate on trans people. Then, there are some who will use it to tear down other women because they simply don't go along with their personal beliefs. Like saying girly girls are just playing into gender stereotypes instead of the thought that JUST MAYBE the girl likes pink and dresses because she just likes them. I even saw one woman write that the only reason a woman would ever want to get rid of her period is to please men and the patriarchy. Just COMPLETELY ignoring the fact that a lot of women and girls (including myself) have extremely painful periods and its too much agony and hassle to deal with every month. That one really pissed me off, to say in the least. I even saw one girl say she literally did not care about male rape victims because in the end, they were still mostly perpetrators and not as important as women rape victims. Like...seriously? Come on, now. Yeah, there are crazies in every group, but I'm legit confused about where exactly feminism is going because the definition seems to vary so much between people, you know what I mean? I SEE people say its equality for all and that they don't hate anyone...then the exact same people will immediately start hating on someone. I don't really understand that :\

Oh my god I know. AND this woman who talked about the period like that, she doesnt have a bad period end of story. Any woman who doesnt have a problem with their periods, good on them! because they have no idea how hellish it can be. jesus christ I want to punch whoever said that.  xD

yesss besides I am pretty steriotypical myself, so I almost want to do a barrel roll everytime someone has a problem with a stereotype of a woman. I LIVE in a kitchen xD my appartment has only one room. I love cooking, I love sparkly pretty things, and I also love pink. Flowers makes me super exited.

I don't like anybody who whines about being a victim when they're not. I don't care if they're women or men, but "crying wolf" is also bad.
I think, however, you should make it clear that this is not female-specific, but carries across both sexes. I have heard about women who make themselves out to be the victim of other women and men, and there are three terrible consequences: one, actual victims aren't taken seriously any more; two, said men and women are demonized for no reason; and three, the wolf-criers get to hog some political limelight and soak up some pity, which they undoubtedly exploit for some ulterior purpose.
However, I have also heard of men who cry wolf as well, so this is clearly not an "iron boob power". These male wolf-criers think that every guy who touches them is gay (and that every gay who walks in their vicinity is a rapist) and that every girl who doesn't sleep with them just because they hold doors open for her and buy her lunch is a stuck-up gold-digger. Again, as a result actual male victims aren't taken seriously anymore, and the accused parties are besmirched for no good reason.

We should differentiate, however, between crying wolf and paranoia. Although sometimes both can overlap (a paranoid person will cry wolf, or an avid wolf-crier will become paranoid after a while, believing in their own lies basically), they are often very different. A wolf-crier wants to achieve something egotistic or hurt somebody through their accusation.
A paranoid person is possibly emotionally or even mentally disturbed and cannot properly  associate normal social cues or socialization techniques with a logical meaning. It's similar to how some people with learning and social disabilities, like autistics, will feel antagonized if you touch them a certain way or say a certain word (or even show them a certain color), even if you clearly didn't mean any harm.
Often, paranoid men and women have huge mistrust towards the opposite sex because they themselves have terrible family experience. A guy who was beaten by his parents (or even only by his father) as a child is likely to end up a misogynist. A girl who is constantly abused and brow-beaten by her family might end up scared of men. This goes double for people who've been proper traumatized, such as rape victims, but also people who've been brainwashed by bad media (just look at the damage TRP has done).

The real villains in this scenario are the abusers, the opportunists and the so-called "journalists" who one hand constantly remind girls of how much rape exists in the world and what horrible things some men do to their wives and girlfriends, and on the other hand constantly remind guys how many false rape flags exist in the world and what horrible things some women do to their husbands and boyfriends. The situation isn't helped by the fact that both men and women feel like shit every time mainstream media bombards them with porn, body objectification, glamourization of violence, and the peversification of everything that is beautiful and just.
In the end, women don't trust men, men don't trust women, some women mock other women, some men mock other men, and as a whole, we're one big divided society that hates each other.
My former high school German teacher said it right: "we don't need terrorists to scare and divide us -- we're doing it quite well all by ourselves" :/

Oh, I see, you're trying to make this a trans rights issue

There are a couple of ways to approach this. As you can read on the stamp, it's talking about the "victimization of women". Typically, we consider this as being the victimization of females by sex. Most of the alleged social issues surrounding women have to do with their sexual identity rather than their gender identity. To illustrate this idea, imagine someone who was sexually female but identified as male. Despite their gender identity, they would still face the same struggles that physically female women (allegedly) have to face, whereas a male identifying as a female would not (for example, they would be treated as a male in job interviews, and subject to the same privileges). As anther example, look at the prevalence of boobs in the media as an advertising tool-- someone who is physically male, regardless of what they identify as, is affected by that in an entirely different way (if at all).

I really don't think OP is trying to make a statement against trans people, just about women in a sex-based sense. Remember, sex still exists (and always will exist) independent of gender (that is, if you believe in that sort of thing).

That's because everyone's a victim! No one has power! BWAHAHAHA!! You're all weaker than you think, strength is an illusion, your arms and armor mere comforts against the cold and impersonal bombs dropped by planes above.

Mere cog wheels, cells in the unknowably complex God-Body that is your society. Tremble, tremble at the knowledge that you have no control over the life you're given, your fate decided by the actions of men long dead, whose fates were decided by men longer dead than that, and in turn to men so long dead even their memory has died.

History is a machine, some are pieces, but more are ground to pulp in the gears, their blood the lubricant that moves history, their guts the grease of God!

TREMBLE MORTALS, be afraid, for you have become a GOD! Cower, knowing that you are a piece of immortality, a small and frail fragment!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Let the Godhead come unto you, and be driven mad!

Sexism in general riles me up. I find it absurd to assume a gender can make one either a victim or a culprit; such can create the idea where any women can screech that a man is coming down on her while no man can do the same. The topic has negative connotations that go deeper than is often realized.

I Completely agree with this on so many levels. People who say men cannot be raped aswell makes me so furious, because male rape victims arent being taken seriously and just brushed off as something they should be happy about because "they got some" Or that should "man up"
