Have Gun - Will Travel

ok. So here are some doodles of Paladin from my new favorite show, Have Gun - Will Travel. It was hard drawing a character from a black and white tv show from the 50s. I plan to draw Paladin in future projects. These were referenced off of screenshots I took. I worked on this on my break 2 days ago. I finished yesterday, but last night I forgot to scan it. I learned that it is best you study a character from live action or cartoon until actually drawing them. I made that mistake when drawing Clint Eastwood's and Lee Van Cleef's characters. I hope I drew Richard Boone right

I have to admit, Paladin sort of has Manco's squint. (Paladin sort of likes cigars too) I threw in his business card, title from the show, his famous chess knight from his holster, a joke of Paladin hichhiking (did I spell that right) and last but not least, a genderbent Paladin who I call Paladina. I wanted to do something with the hair, but after struggling so much, I just gave up and drew her hair in a bun.

It's a really good show. Too bad it doesn't play on INSP. You must hear the theme song, too. It's like a cowboy lullaby. I hope to draw Paladin for Cowboytober. I wish there was more fanart of the show.
