Sorry for the lack of activity, here. I've been busy setting up a Tapas account. I had to go back and format almost every page to fit their requirements, so I haven't done much in the way of drawing. The next page is coming along, but in the meantime, hop on over to Tapas and let me know if that format works better for you!

Hey, guys, sorry about the lack of activity. January has not been kind, but things should be back to normal, hopefully.

Page 6 is up. I’ve also gone back and color-corrected the other pages so that it’s more uniform. I will be replacing the current pages with the new ones, so keep an eye out for that.

Thanks for the wait!

I’ve created a Tumblr page specifically for the comic. I’ve been really working on it for about a year, and I think I finally have a good idea of what I’m doing with it.

Right now, there’s only the Kanú Tamú painting I did, but expect to see some more pages going up soon!

For those of you who've wondered (and for those of you who haven't) where I've gone, I got a pretty beastly new computer (yay!), but it came with Windows 10 (boo!). It was working great, right up until it wasn't. I've still got my tablet, and I can still do some drawing on it, but I've been spending my time and energy on getting my computer back up (still working on it!).
Just to let you guys know I'm not dead, just a little annoyed.

Here is my current commission rates. Please note that my focus is on character design and figure drawing, so plan accordingly. If you have any questions, about anything, please drop me a line. :)

PROCESS

I will accept payments in Paypal, but if you have alternate means, then drop me a line and we'll work something out.
I require half of the commission price up front, and the rest when it's completed.
As soon as the first half of the payment is received, I will draw a couple of thumbnail sketches for composition ideas, and then let you pick from them.
Once the thumbnail has been chosen, I will draw a rough sketch of what the final piece will look like and submit it for approval. If you have any corrections or additions to make, this is the time to do it. After the sketch is approved, any major revisions will incur an extra fee, depending on the price of the piece and the scope of the revision.
Once you are happy with the sketch, I will proceed to finish the commission and will contact you once it is completed. I will show you a low resolution copy of it and will release the full resolution piece once the rest of the payment has been received.
As always, if you have any questions, please drop me a note, and I will do my best to answer within 24 hours, depending on workload. :)

Was asked to do this thing. Do the thing it says and I will do the other thing it says.

1. Tell you something I learned about by looking at your DA page for 13 seconds.

2. Tell you a color you remind me of.

3. Tell you my first memory of you.

4. Tell you what movie, tv, or video game character you remind me of.

5. Ask you a question, and you must answer.

6. Tell you something I like about you.

7. Give you a nickname.

8. Tell you the object that is to the left of me.

9. Dare you to post this in your journal.

Back in January, I did an illustration of Zidane atop the Prima Vista for the Game Art HQ/OCRemix FFIX Anniversary Album. Today, I received notice that my piece was picked to be featured on the trailer for the album. Go check it out. :)

When I was a kid in Mexico, there was this cartoon show about a little knight that rode a grasshopper, and his squire was a roly-poly bug (he might've been a ladybug, I honestly don't remember). They would go into battle with other bugs. I don't think the cartoon itself was Mexican, but I could never really tell, since I don't remember them actually speaking; they always made funny noises to each other, kinda like the Minions, in Despicable Me (so they might've been speaking a different language). I watched the show in the late 80's, but it might've been older than that.
I really wish I had more info to go off of, but this is all I remember. I vaguely remember what the knight looked like, so I put a picture of him in my gallery, in hopes that someone can help me identify him.
Help me out, The Internet! And thanks in advance!

EDIT: Found! It's an old Polish cartoon, called Przygody blekitnego rycerzyk (Blue Knight Adventures in English; Las Aventuras del Caballero Azul in Spanish.)
Thanks to greaterumbrage.tumblr.com/ for finding it for me. :)

The Rules:

  • The avatars of the first 10 people commenting this journal, and the three deviations I like most from their galleries will be put on the list below!

  • If you comment, you have to do the same in your journal, putting the tagger (me) and three of my art on the first place.

  • The idea of this is not to get a free feature, but to spread art around for everyone!

  • Please check the galleries of those who will be featured and give them some love!!

Why is it whenever I choose a category for upload, ever example shown is anime? Portrait category? Anime bishies, chibis, and big-tittied anime girls. Did I miss the memo that DA sent out that said, "Everything you submit henceforth must include at least one (1) anime-looking person, or have something to do and/or be related to anime in any way, shape, or form"?

Okay, so, I need to challenge myself.
I've come to the point where I'm displeased with my art; I've spent too long inside my comfort zone, and it is beginning to stagnate. I've said before that I wouldn't want to be a professional artist because I didn't want to push myself to the point where I would hate drawing. But, if I don't push myself, I'm also never going to get better. So I'm going to start pushing myself.
Starting tomorrow, I'm going to try to have a finished drawing every week (on Saturdays) to post online. I am also going to try and draw for at least ten minutes every day. In the event I don't have something done by Saturday, I will post what I drew that week (sketches, WIPs).
The way I figure it, even on my busiest days, I know I can spare ten minutes for drawing, and setting a low, easily-attainable goal will be a good way for me to get in the habit of doing it every day, as opposed to attempting a Sistine Chapel every day. I've also noticed that my biggest setback is not lack of desire to draw, but lack of ideas: the desire is there, constantly; I just don't always know what to draw. For this, I figured, I know I need work in a lot of areas (anatomy, perspective, coloring, backgrounds, hands), so, in the initial ten minutes, if I don't have an idea, I will start drawing things that I need to work on. I think ten minutes every day, drawing boxes at different angles is a better teaching tool than not doing anything. And who knows? Maybe when I start drawing hands, an idea will come to me.
So why am I posting this online? Because I would like your help. Anyone who is reading this, I would like for you to help hold me accountable for my progress. I know that no one is going to help me get better but myself, but if I know people are waiting for an update from me, maybe it will help me get a motivated. I am always seeking critique and ways that I could better myself. And, hey, maybe you don't like my art, my technique, or my subject matter. That's fine; but if you can at least tell me why, it will help me look at my work through an unbiased set of eyes.
If you decide to crack the whip every now and then, thank you. If you decide you don't want part in this gamesomeness, thank you for at least giving this a read.
A'ight? A'ight.

The more detailed you can be, the better. If you don't specify something, I will make it up (ie, if you say, "I want a Stalker" and nothing more, I will draw a Stalker to whatever specs I come up with, including sex, color, hats, hair, eyes.)
I can do very simple backgrounds at no extra charge. Please refrain from asking for a detailed background, as I feel my background skills aren't good enough to warrant charging for one.

Things I will do:
-Single character
-Couples
-Action/fight scenes
-Suggestive poses (even between more than one character, same sex also)
-Blood, gore, nudity
-Furry/Anthro (yep, totally)

Things I won't do:
-Yaoi/Yuri (man-on-man/ woman-on-woman)
-Incest (if you even ASK me for something like this...)
-Weird fetishes
-Oversexualized young characters (under 18)

If you have any questions, send me a note.
