Stellar Fury

A concept image from my work-in-progress comic Shrike. Wanted to try something more dynamic and emotional in style (also realized I've only shown the protagonist in a rather calm mood before here on DA).

For once I did not use GIMP for this, but I was trying out a tool for digital painters (and digital painters only!), an open source program called MyPaint ([link]). It is still rather limited and lacking in many convenient features, but its brushes are superior to GIMP. I actually liked it a lot and had plenty of fun with it. I only used GIMP to make some final adjustments at the end.

As usual, feedback is much appreciated.
