This is a new snippet from my rather strange red-white-black comic project Where Red Apples Lie. This short story is 5 pages long, consider it as an excerpt from a larger story (which I've not published). I hope the layout should be clear, albeit the story is somewhat ... subtle (as are previous installments in the series). The story has a lot of double meanings and interpretations, will be interesting to hear what people make of it!

What is that kid wearing?? And he is shopping by himself? Chatty boy, lol, I still like him. Though I question his mother's parenting skills at this point. Sending him out by himself...to meet people? Wait, his clothes say something... they're not clothes are they? It says suit...stop swearing...something abduction? Seriously? Send your kid outside in an anti abduction suit?? I...guess that makes...sense? So I guess that's not a hat but a helmet? The future is weird!!
And self driving shopping carts!! I want one of those! I hate pushing a cart around!
I'm fairly sure he's making up background stories for the robots...though I'm not sure as I can't tell just how how autonomous they actually are, but his mom is right, he needs to meet more people, maybe make some actual friends.
Love the way he came out in the second to last panel, seeing him from the back.
And is the girl sort of warming up to him?
...I'm sort of starting to question ages at this point...are people aging...physically slower? ...Are they all older than they look? He looks like a toddler, but doesn't talk like one at all.
