USS Ptolemy - WIP by Greywolf-Starkiller USS Ptolemy - WIP by Greywolf-Starkiller
Starting on the cargo containers for the Ptolemy Class Transport.
You can't see it of course, but I stuck two Tractor Emitters under
the cargo pad at the bottom of the dorsal. If figure they must use
specialized tractors for this. Since the ship can have several towed
at once, I think I'll do emitters for the front and back of each
container.

WOW! I know I must be in a VERY small minority, but I have ALWAYS thought the Ptolomy design was the best of the Franz Joseph designs. To see it given this kind of great, detailed treatment really makes me smile. Fantastic work, Mr. Starkiller, sir!

I think your tractor ideas are great! When they did the plastic SFB minis, they put actual physical connecting struts around the rim of each pod endcap (6 of them, I think), but, other than that, I've never seen the problem addressed. I look forward to seeing your implementation!

Thanks. :)
I like the Franz Joseph designs. Purists might not consider them canon, but I've never really cared if
something is canon or not. If it looks like TOS or tNG era, than that's good enough for me, though TOS
remains my favourite. Less known about it than the NG era, so more room for experimentation.

Very good. It's like a plastic model.

I read somewhere that the tug couldn't pull more that two at a time. But then again, some people say the tug and all the Franz Joseph ships aren't canon. But I think not seeing something onscreen shouldn't automatically preclude it from "reality." Being stupid or not making sense, yeah...lol
Sorry for the tirade...nice work, again!

That's the problem with Trekkies. I divide Star Trek Fandom into two catagories. The fans who enjoy Star Trek, maybe disliking this
series, or that series, but enjoying Star Trek as a whole, without forgetting it's fiction, those I call Trekkers. Both Deg3d and
myself fall into this catagory. Then, there is the Trekkie, the anal retentive folks who have destroyed much of the fun in Star Trek
fandom these days. I, thankfully, don't know any Trekkies. Ever seen the Trekkies and Trekkies 2 documentaries? If you haven't, watch
them, they're a real scream! :)

Yeah people can be divided into two groups; those that divide people into two groups and those that don't.
