29. by greytrousers 29. by greytrousers
29: my favorite number. It's odd, prime and almost 30 but not quite.

This is sort of an experiment. I started a painting today on a big slab of crappy, beautifully grainy wood with chunky, old, drying light blue latex paint. I got the idea to do a version of the painting on the computer entirely in photoshop and I'll see how the actual painting is going to come out. I'm still planning on using a giant 29 in deep red near the bottom of the composition but we'll see where it goes. It might stick to the computer plan or completely deviate.

I was about to Ask "Why 29?", but you explained it right there in the about part. So that is your favorite number? :) One thing I have noticed is we have never had a long talk about 'favorites'. Maybe that is why I didn't know what your favorite number was. We should have a 'favorites' phone conversation soon. :) <3 Baby, you are amazing, and I can't wait to see you! It better be soon... (Even though I know it won't be. :( )

That's a good way to experiment. Will you be posting the painting too? I'm interested in seeing the differences and similarities!

I like the three colors you chose. At first I thought the blue marks and splats in the back were made traditionaly- but up close I see it has a nice mix of both more organic shapes and very digital pattern. I like a lot- and want to fav it, but think I'll wait to see if you put up the other version!
