The young business man with the perfect hair knows how to get people to give him money.

Technical notes:

Drawn on a Wacom Tablet with Corel Painter 11, using the liquid ink Calligraphy brush.

This is part of a series of portraits that I have created as "studies" in various Corel Painter brush styles. I recently have been doing a lot of playing with the calligraphy brush styles:

In this example, I played with using 2 ink colors to give a very primitive almost "comic book" style shading effect. I like it a lot and think it goes well with the calligraphy pen style.

Yeah, still good. I think the more lines the better with this style :).

Yeah, I keep going back and forth in my own mind. On the one hand, I think this pen lends itself wonderfully to patterns created by fine detailed lines. On the other hand, I like the simplicity of it, and I'm fascinated by the whole minimalist question: how few lines does it take to make a face recognizable? how few lines does it take to make a face "attractive"? And so on.

This business man really reminds me a lot of a character from the video game Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines.
His name is LaCroix: [link]

Coincidentally, he's also a big shot business man.
