Poem: I Am Not the Same Girl

Those who know will understand what I am saying in this poem, and why I write this.

And to those who don't get it, don't even bother coming to me thinking you can fool me with the same old act.

I am not the same girl
You can lie to or manipulate.

I am not the same girl
Who will sound in on your hate.

I am not the same girl
Who will cheat and steal.

I am not the same girl
Who will laugh at how others feel.

I am not the same girl
Who lies to get her way.

I am not the same girl
Who wastes away every day.

I am not the same girl
Who you can trample on.

I am not the same girl
Who you can use as your pawn.

I am not the same girl
Who will jump into any man's bed.

I am not the same girl
Who twists around what you said.

I am not the same girl
Held in addiction's captivity.

I am not the same girl
Because I am free.
