First, let me tell you a story.
There was a young woman named Angie Thompson who worked at the Caduceus medical clinic in Angeles Bay. Angie was happy working as a nurse under Doctor Derek Stiles (who recently saved the world from the GUILT virus) and life couldn't have been better... that is, until SHE appeared.
Angie was working late one night, and was alone in the operating room, when she suddenly noticed HER standing in the corner, unmoving, just staring, staring at Angie with those cold, lifeless eyes. Angie brushed it off as her imagination playing tricks on her, but the next night, SHE appeared again. A wave of fear washed over Angie, and she left the operating room in a hurry. She told Derek and other coworkers about HER, but no one would believe her.
Soon HER visits became more frequent, occuring any time Angie was left alone in the hospital, and SHE would even try to follow Angie on several occasions. Angie's panicked claims of seeing some kind of spirit in the hospital began to bother the other nurses and doctors and was even starting to make some of the patients uneasy, so Derek, who cared deeply for Angie, decided to help her get over her paranoia which he believed was a result of too many late nights.
The next evening as Angie prepared to leave, she found that the door was locked and there was no way out of the operating room, as she soon discovered someone had taken her key. The immense feeling of panic returned, and Angie turned around to see that SHE had indeed appeared, but this time there was no escape.
The next day, several patients claimed to have heard what sounded like someone pounding on a door and screaming late at night. Derek, upon unlocking the door to the operating room, found Angie behind the supply cabinet. She was huddled on the floor, breathing in small, trembling gasps and her eyes were staring straight ahead. Alive, but unresponsive.
Derek asked the guard to show him the security videos from the previous night, but the video of the operation room was curiously filled with nothing but static right after the moment when Angie had tried to open the door.
To this day, nobody knows what happened in that room except for Angie Thompson, and she cannot tell anyone as she still hasn't recovered from whatever gave her such a shock.
. . .
So... yeah, this Trauma Center: Under The Knife fanart kinda came from a series of inside jokes, and I decided to make this creepy drawing of the scene. I'll admit I love those weird japanese horror movies like The Ring, which did have some inspiration here. If you can't tell who the "ghost" is, it's Angie's character design from the Nintendo Wii version of the game (who does seem to creepily stare into your soul).
