Magic scars by greendragon-gecko Magic scars by greendragon-gecko
Nikitas magic burned hands - that's why he wears gloves.
It is a little story on its own.

Die Narben sind wirklichn klasse, sehr realistisch.
Die würde ich hier als Download anbieten, auch für ein paar 'dA-Points', als Dankeschön.

Und vielen dank für dein Kompliment weiter unten. Sowas liest man immer sehr gerne! :-)

:) Danke dir! <3

:) Warum auch nicht, viele deiner Bilder sind eine kleine Geschichte für sich und auch noch Humor oben drauf. Das muss man erstmal können :).

it's a pity the watermark covers most of the scar region - would have made it more transparent in your place (but it's always a difficult job anyway finding a balance how to include a signature that's present yet not destroying (too much) of the motif

love such "stories of their own". that makes characters and their stories feel more alive <3

..may be I am paranoid, but someone stole and uploaded one of my pics somewhere else. is one of my book characters, so I am not willig to show it without any options to protect it.

:) thanks! Some things developed over time. It is strange how much the plot itself had changed over time. Sometimes I add a few details here and there, others caused that I wrote a little christmas story adding more details to both characters.

okay, I can understand that ....
that's the little advantage of drawing - even when they steal it, one can pretty much recognize the actual artist, when he has an individual style. I can imagine it's much harder to make a clearly recognizable style in 3D works

I had a heated debate with someone about render, quality and  how render should be - and figured out that I do non-mainstream-render (but also not the monstrous porn-crap, which flods DA as well).
But is difficult to create really unique characters - als a lot of stuff can be bought. Body-norphs, the scars, the leave tattoos - are steps to customize the figure to get my character, not a generic one.

The best renderer with absolutely unique characters are those from Mavrosh but also others try to create unforgettable characters like Edheldil3D 's girls (humor! my dear I am so unable to get humor rendered XD), or some have even created Dragon Age other Games/film characters :).

I agree with you, I have Mavrosh in my watch list since my very first years on deviantart. love their characters so much <3 still have a thing open concerning Loop, I remember *_*

I don't know if you know them, though, but some time ago I stumbled upon :iconchemicq: and as far as my (limited) 3D artist horizon goes I need to say, to me he's definitely among the best ones, when it comes to making fictional characters and the world they live in actually feel alive. his 3D renders manage to make me completely overlook any "barrier of artificiality" that usually keeps me from connecting/identifiying emotionally with 3D characters/art by 100%. with chemicq it's been the first time for me meeting a 3D artist whose world&characterbuilding is happening in a massive scale of life-project dimension as I let it happen with my own life-projects Terra Aluvis / Endless Night. it is always a rare thing for me to meet other (multi-media-)artists that put many years of heart and passion into growing their stories and characters. it's extremely refreshing and exciting to see one is not alone with a mammoth project :)
of course there are many who have life-projects, but only few let this reach the outside world. during my commission work I met pretty many people who have worked over a decade on writing their books for example - but it happened so secretly that sometimes even their lifepartners didn't know about it.
I like it when people dare to create worlds - and have the courage setting them free in this world to inspire hearts and souls, giving them a place to dream and maybe even grow in an unpredictable way. and 'courage', right, as there are many threats to safety out there naturally, and I've been struggling witht hat over a decade myself, before I decided to simply dare and let it fly. and while our stories might be fictional - their effects on those, who consume them, are real. so I will never stop to encourage people to create their own worlds and grow own characters :) no matter which medium, size, genre, or whatsoever. the bigger the diversity, the better, if you ask me <3
- buuuut I'm getting philosophically carried away here :'D

Jupp, Chemicq too! I have no clue how long it takes to get one page out of so many render done and he keeps going on. I would go nuts at some point^^.

creating your mammoth-world: how do you manage to stay focused? I had already a few new ideas worth thinking about. One ended up in a little side story, which just needs polishing & publishing, the others are writen down as ideas.  ;) It does not happen so often that I have intense film-like scenes in my mind.

In my case my family knows that I write - and even my mum read two stories (and asked for book 2). But feedback is something very rare.... or seeing that you inspired someone.

Da hab ich gestern und bis eben dran gewuselt. Hab auch noch eine gelblichere Version - aber das wirkt eher kränklich.
Danke dir!
