Happy 4th of July, everyone!
As we enjoy the USA's official birthday, I look back on why we do so. Lately, I've been remembering a little movie about Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's home. It mentioned that the home, like our country is now, was a continual work in progress. A continual work in progress. Boy, truer words were never spoken. The government still has no idea how to listen to ALL voices, we have an old guard that forgot we're supposed to adapt and change to improve the loves of other people, people are not making enough of a living to be happy, and groups of people are still being beaten down to this day, those of Mexican and African-American origin leapt readily to mind. There's no doubt in my mind; America is still a work in progress. Lately, I've entertained what Executive orders I'd pass if I were President (something not likely to happen), and I've also noticed that neither Republicans nor Democrats would like what I would pass. You know
