Some facts about Doop:
Doop is 37 years old.
Doop has an ex-wife on Chandilar and a kid he never sees.
Doop’s primary hobby is getting high.
Doop’s secondary hobby is playing video games.
Doop is a surprisingly gifted guitar player.
Doop was once a cameraman on Mojoworld.
Doop is a self proclaimed “polymath.”
Doop’s favorite movie is the 1995 film Get Shorty.
Doop claims to “know witchcraft” just like Mama Doop taught him.
Doop is behind on car payments again.

Most of these facts come from Doop’s resume he handed Magneto at Academy X to be a security guard. Not sure why he included the car payment blurb but who isn’t a little behind these days.
Finally, at number 398, we finally arrive at Marvel's single greatest character. My favorite aspect of Doop is just how inexplicable he is. He was introduced with absolutely zero explanation to what he even is, and he's never really been given any serious backstory. Doop just is. And when I stopped to think about "how does Doop fit into the GMU?" I realized I was approaching Doop in the completely incorrect direction. So instead of writing a traditional bio I decided to go in a different direction and just list what Doop is. There are bits in those factoids that hint at some greater meaning (maybe he's an alien cameraman the X-Men met on Mojoworld?) but it might also mean nothing. Doop is just Doop, don't worry about it.
When I drew Doop I ended up giving him these sort of bloodshot eyes in my earliest designs and I for some reason I saw inspiration in Towelie from South Park. I thought it'd be funny if Doop was just this floating green ball that sometimes appeared and asked the other characters if they wanted to get high, I dunno, lol. Though I'm sure he still just speaks his own language here.
So, I'm curious. Once you feel like you've added enough characters to your Marvel universe, do you think you'll do a DC universe project?
