This is the first scene I wanted to draw from Deathly Hallows. The end result doesn't look anything like it does in my head - I envisioned a much closer view of Harry's face in the covers... another time when I can convince someone to pose the right facial expressions for me!

I wanted the view to give a feeling of falling.

"She had made her g's the same way he did: he searched through the letter for every one of them, and each felt like a friendly little wave glimpsed from behind a veil. The letter was an incredible treasure, proof that Lily Potter had lived, really lived, that her warm hand had once moved across this parchment, tracing ink into these letters, these words, words about him, Harry, her son." Chapter 10, DH

I did the same thing the day I found something in my father's handwriting. He died when I was seven years old.

Otra vez, gracias!

You portrayed the scene in a wonderful way. It has been a while since I last read that book, but looking at your drawing I can clearly remember how I felt while reading. You convey the emotions very well in my opinion.

Wonderful detail and perspective. I can actually feel the loneliness seeping from this piece. Excellent work.
