Religious and political disunity has condemned Earth. Should we thank our religious leaders?
One needs not be a rocket scientist to recognize that it is our failure at the U.N. and other international bodies, who are working hard to unite the world politically and religiously; that is the core of our woes.
By ďourĒ I mean the rank and file who are suffering and dying for our failing systems of political and religious governance.
We also pay heavily for our failed systems of religious and political governance. Billions upon billions of dollars wasted; especially the waste on pointless religions, in terms of law and morality.
If the world does not unify or allow the next few years to exacerbate and hasten the demise of Earth; this generation shows how vile it is as a species.
Individually, people are fantastic. As Jesus said, you got to love them all.
Without leadership, we are deadly. Earth needs a, --- Captain Jesus, --- and decent candidates are not being recognized. Strange, given that Jesusí moral tenets mostly arenít, and secular law has already made his love as law ideology fail.
I can remember 30 odd years ago looking at statistics and trying to project the future. I thought people would get worse over time. But the reverse has proven itself to be true. I thought the world would unify. But again I have been proven wrong due to our tolerance of religious and political con men.
Religious leaders in particular, as well as their slaved sheeple, --- that is you if you are religious, --- claim to have moral superiority granted to them by their, so called good gods.
All you religious are the vast majority; so why are you screwing up our world?
The world has had enough of your religious arguments, when you bother making them; which is seldom.
Not surprising that, given your inability to do good apologetics for your vile gods, and your propensity to use inquisition and jihad methods to make the points you cannot do mentally, intellectually or rationally.
Your religious violence and lack of tolerance has wounded the world and you do not care enough for your fellow man and children to leave them a place cleaner and better than what you found.
We are presently spending many trillions world-wide on our various forms of governance.
Our religious governance is not serving us well in areas where it says it excels.
Religions are in fact harmful to society as a whole. I can say that while recognizing that it had many uses in the past and that without it we would not be as advanced as we are.
I think we should cut our losses and divert those gains to the environment. I think we can and should scrap religions and proceed to do the better thing and use politics as our only law. It has earned it.
Would insecurity be the main cause of our creating and adoring evil gods?
Humans are the most insecure animals on the planet.
The root of our selfish gene creates insecurity, which feeds our tribal nature; feeding our desire to join religions and other tribes. This we should see as a loving gesture.
This loving bias simultaneously creates a hate or negative bias to whatever would threaten a humanís new tribe.
Hate is thus good and should not be censored.
In its expression on such sites, I think it would improve us all if we showed our hate with more couth and fewer locker room expletives. I digress.
Our gods, who are political and religious; are all good in our eyes. Yet, they use concepts like killing and genocides, inquisitions and jihads, penalties for minor infractions, --- like death, --- that goes way past an eye for an eye, --- etc. etc. etc.
We are what we think our ideals are. I think we are more moral than our ideal garbage gods.
Our insecurity wants a god that is all powerful and will do anything to save you, and to hell with all that you do not like. Our selfish gene wants to rule the world.
If not insecurity, why do you think we give up our freedom to political and religious con persons and other flagrant liars?
When did Christianity invent hell and godís imaginary condemnation of man?
I have read where god cursed the ground, Gen 3;17, cursed is the ground for thy sake. Nowhere do I see where god condemned or cursed mankind directly.
When and why did Christianity invent the notions and lies surrounding hell and manís condemnation?
Was it to loosen our purse strings or just to use fear as a tool of social manipulation and control?
Why do the gullible still believe this obvious lie?
Would a ban on all public religious representations and displays ease religious hatreds and violence?
We have to end inquisitions and jihads of all kinds, including the less lethal ones like homophobia and misogyny.
Some secular governments, led by the French of France and Quebec, are implementing bans on all religious iconography prayers and emblems and religious displays so as to ease religious tensions and violence. They call it laÔcitť, which translates to secularism. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La%C3%AF…
The general secular population seems to dislike the one-upmanship that the religious practice on other religions, as well as those who do not follow a religion; even though statistics show that the less religion in a nation, the more peaceful and law abiding it is. Conversely, if we look at the Christian nation of the U.S., as an example; we see perhaps the least peaceful and law abiding nation on earth. This last aside, an example of this one-upmanship, would be Christian signage that tells us to turn to Jesus or be condemned and Muslim head gear and face covering that say that the wearer is more chastely than those who do not cover their heads and bodies.
Jesus said that we should pray in private so as not to be seen as trying to outdo each other in chastity, righteousness and other one-upmanship adjectives that you might think of. Yet most who say they respect Jesus do not follow his teachings of remaining private and insist on public displays of their perceived insult to others not of their brand.
I see the secular world as following Jesusí advice on this while the so called religious ignore Jesus.
Does Jesus/Yahweh love us or is he stalking us?
Love without reciprocity, works and deeds, according to scriptures and Jesusí own words, not that a supernatural Jesus ever existed, is not a true love.
All you need to do, to know the truth of that notion; is to look at your own standards of love. You would not love someone who does not return that love, as that is more a stalkers kind of love.
Some Christians and other believers will not see that. Most who are not led by faith, generally accept the truth stated above.
This link, in its message, gives about the same notion.
