thank you. that les paul is actually 25 years old. it was made it 1979. it sounds and plays great, its a part of me (the blood in the middle of the guitar is not a texture its really there).
70s les pauls are my favorite, amazing thickness in sound and clarity. Is the blood from playing hard? Theres probably some on my custom tele but it's black so I can't tell. My first guitar, 14 years ago had so much blood on it, from playing but from also cutting my knee open on a broken window. But it played so much better
yeah i got a bad habit of my fingers scrapping on top (the top of the finger on picking hand) during shows. most of the time i get it off before it soaks in (i sanded down the paul like 5 years ago) but i did not get to it in time the last time it happened. i always joke that a part of me is imbedded in the guitar now (dna and what not). i've retired this paul to mostly band room/studio but bring it out at a show when the schecter is too weak.
i love this paul cause the neck is three piece maple instead of mahgony (found out when i was sanding the paint off it). i learned they did some experiments in the 70's on a few pauls and this is one of them. i picked this up from the original owner (this girls father) for $500 back in 95 or so.
