Description
Entry for a 2006 art contest held by the fansite Kirby's Rainbow Resort. It shows special versions of Bounder (バウンダー) and Gip (ギップ), two recurring enemies from HAL Laboratory and Nintendo's Kirby franchise.
The two have got copy abilities (Ice and Fire respectively), like protagonist Kirby, who is able to copy the special abilities of his enemies, a trademark feature of the series. Bounder debuted in the Famicom/NES game Kirby's Adventure (1993) and is an enemy that climbs walls and throws small stars. Gip serves exactly the same function; in fact, it started to replace Bounder in the remake of said game, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land (2002). Since then, Bounder has not been seen again in the franchise (excluding re-releases of classic games).
