When no unicorns were thought to be alive,
I roamed the forest, destined to survive.
My horn and my magic no mere man can see
But there were those that could see the real me.
I went on a journey and traveled far and wide,
To seek out my siblings, to find where they hide.
Aided by the pure of heart and a wizard's fools,
Caged by a witch and chased by a red bull.
I ran deep into the forest and to the edge of the sea,
Where human love awaited but just cannot be.
I am not a woman, but a magical star,
Meant for no man and only to be seen from afar.
My soul became empty, barren and dark,
I looked into my own eyes and saw no spark.
Yet deep within my own sadness and despair,
I drove the red bull into a sea of white hair,
When the red bull was slain and the greedy king fell,
My kind ran free back where they should dwell.
My journey was done and my farewells were made,
To loyal friends and a prince with love unpaid.
Unlike my siblings I have felt love and regret,
Never the feel of mortality wil
