Born in 41 BBY, and serving for decades, Gaius Malik had always been destined for control. The death of the Emperor only gave him the opportunity. The Montag Star System was immediately put into lockdown, things were about to change. Malik seized the opportunity, proclaiming himself as the new emperor, even taking the last name of the old one. He had always been a fine leader, who was going to challenge him? He consolidated his power among the planets, leaving himself fully in control. It may have only been one star system, but every empire starts somewhere.
