Yeah, it's been quiet here for a while again. Between work and the holidays, it's been tough to draw or write anything lately - I have enough time to come on here and comment on pictures or post journal entries, but actually write my stories or finish any drawings? The time just isn't there right now.
I've got plans though!
Right now, my big goal is to finish ashbasher22's request, which I've been trying to finish since before Halloween.
After that, I'd like to devote some time to finishing the next page of Encounter in the Woods, because honestly I just want that DONE so I can move on without it bearing down on the back of my mind. Same with Across the Sea, which was never intended to still be an active project for THIS long. I'd originally expected to finish that before Memorial Day!
At some point, I want to try doing a video like what Ferroth has done showing my drawing/inking/coloring process. It seems like it'd be fun! Plus, it's been forever since I've produced a video of any sort and that's another thing I've been wanting to get back into doing. I also really want to do another journal (or maybe a submission?) comparing some recent work with stuff I did 10, 15, and 20 years ago...just to show what a lot of practice can do.
With a new year coming up fast, I'm hoping to hit the rest button again and go into 2018 with a fresh slate again. This year didn't go nearly as well as I'd hoped...not that anything bad happened, but just that I didn't accomplish as much as I'd hoped I would back in January. I'd like to accomplish more in 2018, and maybe get back on track with my personal goals (many of which, I feel, I let fall by the wayside this year as my job sucked up so much of my life...despite doing my best to not let it do so).
Don't be too surprised if there's a sudden burst of activity from me fairly soon.
