I update this anyway, with the thumbs up things and whatnot, but I just want to say that this sucks. It seems like there isn't enough hours in a day for me to finish my project. I do not draw fast, I draw at my own pace...which happens to be quite slow and particular (even if I mess things up). I need more time. I don't know if I will get this done. The heat (which is fine, I like warmth, but I don't like gasping for cool air everytime. Also, I'm English, so I seem to be able to moan and whine about anything and everything) as well as my horrid, depressive mood is not helping my creativity. I seriously want to curl up in a corner somewhere...
I hope I can get more drawing done in a faster pace, but at the moment, it's looking a bit iffy. Will I ever finish my Uni project? Who knows at this point in time! I've only done a bunch of sketches. I need to do Design Sheets for each character and have a finished, finalised drawing of the character to show too.
Perhaps I should stop drawing other things too...and concentrate just on my Uni work, perhaps then I'll get more done?

I'm off from Uni for a very long summer and therefore I've set myself things to achieve!

First I'll set myself some art tasks to complete:

1. Draw a male/female face = Done
2. Draw a male/female body
3. Practice drawing cartoon style characters - possibly OCs = Done-ish
4. Do more 3D art - create a character from scratch or an object etc
5. Draw Benedict Cumberbatch = Done
6. Go out and do some Photography = Done
7. Draw some music based art - basically something for a band that a friend of mine is in. I have a cool idea. = Done-ish
8. Do some animation - 3D or traditional
9. Paint hair onto a 3D character = Done
10. Start learning how to play the piano/keyboard

My Summer project sort of links in to some of my tasks:

Part 1 Research - Find a 30 second animated clip that features two characters interacting with out dialogue. You will do a 5 minute presentation of this in the first week of teaching.
Create 5 pairs of Opposite / contrasting characters - they don't all have to be interconnected. They are a starting point for Character Animation & Implementation Think of famous animated teams; Sulley & Mike from Monsters Inc., Tom & Jerry, etc... = Characters:-
Drake Feng & Ed Wilson = Started Ed Character Design Sheet by GothicVampireFreak
Medusa & Bastet - Animals/pets = Done  Medusa Character Design Sheet by GothicVampireFreak Bastet Character Design Sheet by GothicVampireFreak
Prima & The Mermaid (The Mermaid still needs a lot of work) = Started Prima Character Design Sheet by GothicVampireFreak
Rory Feng & Catherine Eddory = Started Catherine Character Design Sheet by GothicVampireFreak
Sam Jones & Pandora = Half finished  Sam Character Design Sheet (Unfinished) by GothicVampireFreak

Part 2 - Opposites
They will be changed or may not even used, but the important part is that you undergo the design process. Start by creating the silhouette and then draw the characters from every angle. Use plenty of silhouettes and thumbnail sketches to begin.
Think of the character design principles that we covered this semester in Sculpture for Animation; e.g. Shape Symbolism, Rule of Thirds, Rhythm & Abstract Angles. = Started

Either I'll get it all done or I'll be driven mad by the amount of work I've given myself.

You've got a lot on your plate but a definite list and plan and I envy you for that.  I'm so horrible about such things.  Knowing how good you are, even if you feel you're going slow I have no doubts you'll achieve what you're aiming for :)

I am so very sorry to hear you're feeling so down.  You're such a sweet person... if you ever need a large comfy shoulder a few thousand miles away to rest your head on and talk to, please feel free to contact me any time.  :huggle:

Aw, thank you so much! I really hope that's true and I will achieve what I'm aiming for :meow:
I always have to make notes or lists of things I have to/want to do. I either write them down with a pen on paper or I type them out digitally and delete them once I've finished what I set. I like planning and such. Sometimes I even over-plan and over-think.

I shall remember that! No matter how far away you are, just knowing you are there for me is enough to make me smile :tighthug:

Thank you so much for your comment!
