:) I took a test online and apparently I'm Ravenclaw haha
I thought I'd be Hufflepuff but I was more of a Ravenclaw according to the test.

I don't know what my 'actual' house is, because I'm not signed up to Pottermore.

Neville almost went into Hufflepuff as well, didn't he? Pretty sure he was almost placed in there :P

Pottermore is really cool.  You should check it out :D

Yah he did... sort of given the same choice as Harry between two houses in that respect.  He would have done well there to be sure.  Considering his later wife's grandfather is a famous Hufflepuff (Newt Scamander himself) it would be interesting to see how the mix of 'house blood' placed his kids.  I'll have to look that up :D

I've seen Pottermore, yes. I look on it sometimes if I need like information for a fanfiction or something like that - Some of the stuff J.K Rowling has added to character wikis and whatnot is a bit annoying though. I've lost a lot of respect for her over the past several months. I'm real surprised someone so stupid created something so brilliant. I just don't like any new stuff she adds on because I think she's ruining it. Like I recently found out she's said that Lupin's werewolf-ness is slightly related to getting aids. I mean come on!
The Cursed Child, though not written by her, was approved by her and it's a pile of rubbish. I don't know what the hell she was thinking saying yes to that. There are SO many things wrong with it. So many plot holes and the character's are almost entirely different. I get that people change throughout their life but not to that extent. And it seems almost canon too. I don't know if it's been added onto Pottermore, but I know it's on Harry Potter Wikis on the internet.

I hope to God (or Merlin hehe) that the rumours about her writing a stupid prequel to Harry Potter are not true. There's no point in it. Fantastic Beasts was basically a prequel anyway.
She should leave it alone now.

Sorry about my mini rant hehe You can see I'm real passionate about it when I rant.
Anyway, yes, I love Neville. He was the Chosen One! :XD:

Well, there's a lot at Pottermore to be sure.  Most of it is her original notes and background information we never saw, but also discussions and other things too.   I don't know about her being stupid... I personally haven't come across any negative reports.  I did a search and found where the lycanthropy/HIV metaphor was discussed... was referring to an interview from seventeen years ago.  "'All kinds of superstitions seem to surround blood-borne conditions, probably due to taboos surrounding blood itself. The wizarding community is as prone to hysteria and prejudice as the Muggle one, and the character of Lupin gave me a chance to examine those attitudes.'   The author has expressed via Twitter how this piece of news is not the 'revelation' many believe it to be, stating that these are merely points being recycled from interviews she gave 17 years ago."  I do know that twenty years ago when she was writing, HIV was much much scarier than it is now.  I've seen people's reactions... if at that time you told someone sitting next to you that you had AIDS it would get the same response as telling someone you're a werewolf, so I can see how at the time she would have drawn those parallels.

I haven't read Cursed Child yet.  I have heard it's not as good, and I'm sure that someone else writing it has something to do with it... not to mention it wasn't written as a story, but as a play.  Also from what little I know of it, it seems to be a storyline that was initially
fan fiction, but I don't know that for sure.  Since it was a play and just giving a glimpse into things I'm prepared to think she approved of it as a cursory exposure, but after reading it for myself I'll think on it.

I haven't heard about any Potter prequels, but I do know there will be sequels to Fantastic Beasts, which truthfully are two separate stories set in the same universe.  Given the amount of time between FB and the first Potter novel she could write FB sequels and never directly affect the existing books.  I suspect as far as it will go will be the final confrontation between Dumbledore and Grindelwald, which was ancient history by the time the Potter series took place. Again we'll see, but until I read it for myself I'll remain hopeful.

Sorry about the mini anti-rant, but as you can see I can be insufferably optimistic ... darn Hufflepuff trust :P :D :D  :tighthug:

I love discussion and debate and long-winded comments, so I like this haha

I find her stupid because of recent events. I don't know if you follow her on twitter (I know you referenced her twitter but not sure if you follow her) or know the stupidity of her actions and tweets, but yes, she's been acting stupid. I'm not calling her stupid for what she's said in or about her books (even if some things have plot holes or aren't explained and it annoys me a bit hehe). I expected more of her. She seemed like an intelligent, fantastic writer, and I was inspired by her, looked up to her, but the things she'd done and said lately have changed my mind. I don't expect her to be flawless or perfect either, by the way, I'm not saying that, because that would be ridiculous. No one is perfect. And that's fine. I didn't agree to some things she has said in the past, but so what? Her opinion is hers. It never rocked my respect for her.
What got to me and put me off her, was the fact that she was acting immature and didn't look at the FACTS of situations. She just jumped on the bandwagon of hating on certain people and took what the media said as truth - She should know better. She wrote Rita Skeeter for goodness sake, she knows that a lot of media (not all) is a pile of poop. And instead of looking at the facts, doing research, and finding out if what the media is saying is true, she was ignorant and silly and blindly accepted what was put in front of her.
I will never hate the world she created, I will always be a fan of that, but I can't say I'll always be a fan of her. She's done some brilliant things, some selfless things, though recently she's also done some idiotic things and it's angered me. Just because she wrote some great books (hated the last one though haha) and did some brilliant things in the past, does not excuse her from being so narrow-minded. So personally, yes, I think she's stupid - I can tell you of her stupidity if you want, but it all started for me when she started calling certain people fascists or said they were like Voldemort or Death Eaters, or worse, which is juvenile and in some cases, completely wrong.

With the aids thing, I only used that as one example of things I don't think she needs to mention. Parallels or not, I personally do not think she should have made the connection or hinted at even thinking it, because Lupin was a child when he was ravaged by Greyback, so to even suggest it being like aids makes me uneasy. I get that both are to do with infected blood, infected bodies, and the reaction people get when they find out of such things, but she could have picked other things. Just because it was around when she was writing didn't mean she had to shove it into a children's book.
I've noticed, as everyone has, that the Wizarding world is racist and it's all about blood, being pure is the best, being half blood is looked down on, and being muggle is the lowest of the low - I just don't like how I can't not think of it being like aids now and how, if it was looked at like aids in some ways, why Lupin thought it a lovely idea to have unprotected sex and have a kid too. Makes no sense to me. He even freaks out about it at one point and I was sat there reading it like, "Um, yeah, that's what happens when you have unprotected sex or don't take precautions!"
Oh and the Dumbledore is gay thing is something else I don't particularly like, seems to me like she just randomly shoved it out there 'just because'. Some PC crap that seems to be only getting worse nowadays. Not that it matters what Dumbledore's sexuality was. He could have been pansexual or bisexual or whatever-sexual for all I care. I just don't think it needed to be said. Dumbledore, to me, wasn't straight or gay, he was just Dumbledore. And I don't think knowing his sexuality added anything to the story or the character. Like at all. There aren't even any clues to him struggling with his sexuality in the stories, so it was unneeded. It brought and added nothing - If anything, it made the Dumbledore memes worse! So many gay jokes. So many gay and pedophilia jokes. Everywhere they are haha

The Cursed Child is not good no, and it's nothing to do with it being a play. I can't pin it all on her, she didn't write it, I know that, but she looked it over and accepted it and allowed it to go on. And if what you said is correct, if it was initially fanfiction, then they've done a 50 Shades of Grey and picked the worst bloody fanfiction to make a play out of. - I don't know why she approved it...I really don't. And it's attached to wikis. No idea if it's on the Pottermore ones, but it's on the outside wikis as if it's kind of canon and I hate it so much haha!
Does she get money from it? She should have really looked at it in more detail. I don't get how she can dislike people writing fanfiction about certain characters she doesn't like, call people deluded if they prefer a character, and then she turns around and accepts that piece of poo :XD: I do not get it.
If you read it, let me know your thoughts please. I'd like to talk about it with you. I'd be ranting and stuff though, more than I am already, as I just do not like it haha If you like it, that's fine! I'm not saying that everything I've just said and everything I feel is right, and everything else is wrong haha No way am I saying that. These are just my opinions and some of my reasons for falling out of love with some aspects of HP and some things connected with it, and losing respect for J.K

The rumoured HP prequel I spoke about I hope is JUST a rumour. I heard that, apparently, she was writing one and the transcripts were stolen from her. But that could all be false. I didn't bother to research it. So, as I said, I hope it's all a rumour.
I know about there being another Fantastic Beasts film (for some reason) yeah. Not sure I want them but money is money, I suppose. And though she said HP was ended, I guess she can milk it even dryer and try and make something of it...though I really wish she wouldn't.
The Fantastic Beasts though...separate from the HP stories or not, it does add more to the world and therefore adds more questions and adds more to wikis and adds more plot holes, which is what I don't like. So I think it does affect the existing books because it makes me question why certain things weren't brought up or taught or even mentioned. Important things that should have been at least hinted at. I can't say the play (not interested in the film, like, at all) is bad. I have it, though have yet to get the time to read it. What I can say though, is I've had spoilers thrown my way and I know that certain things have been added to the Wizarding world (not talking about the creatures) that would definitely have a ripple affect throughout the entire universe. I won't say anymore than that, as I don't want to spoil it for you and...well, I do love that you are hopeful. I'm not always so hopeful myself, so I suppose that's why I'm not a Hufflepuff haha

One thing I will say though before I end this frankly huge reply is...regardless of my feelings towards the author at this current time, I clearly love HP and am very, very passionate about it. If I weren't, none of this would bother me and I'd not care enough to even rant or talk about it at length.
I'm glad you are hopeful and you still find it all good and nice haha And I am not here to undermine what you think or feel. Not at all!
:D :tighthug:
Thank for you liking my sketch and for replying to me in a polite and enjoyable way. If you want to talk more HP stuff, don't hesitate to note me!
Or reply on here, I don't mind filling the comment section.
I loved talking to you about this! I hope I don't come across as bad or anything. I wasn't having a go or shouting or anything. Just saying my opinion and explaining some of it :)
