First, I like to talk to the client and get to know their idea for the artwork. Then I make up to three sketches for the client to choose from. All of this is free.
After that, I charge half of the amount to actually start the artwork. Payment is made via PayPal. I ask for the other half when the artwork is finished.
I like to keep the client updated. I always send photos of the process.
I send the client a free pencil sketch the size of the artwork. So, it's two artworks for the price of one.

My better half is my Superman. All the pictures are for him. Your group is funny. This group exists because it's an art playground, and as Superman's wife, I can look around to see what kind of art there is. I'd like to thank my sweetheart at this point and eat a meatball.
