Hi everyone! I'd like to start by saying Happy Pride Month! I've got my schedule pretty full this summer for commissions, so I probably wont' draw much for Pride Month this year. I also want to let everyone know that there is a video coming out soon (6/5 for Patrons and 6/12 publically) in which I talk about trying to be more mindful of diversity in my own artwork. I recorded this voiceover in late April, before the protests in the US started. That video is not meant to be a commentary on these protests, nor is it meant to "piggyback" off of them as a "viral topic". My heart stands with the protesters. Where I live, there have been no protests, but that doesn't mean I'm excused from the issue. There's a lot of important petitions, events, and donation collections going around right now. I will be posting a Patron-Only journal tomorrow to update my Patrons on some more plans for the artwork this month. Wishing everyone to stay safe, especially those protesting right now. Also please keep in mind that the risk of Covid is still very real and relevant. If you're protesting, be sure to wear proper protective gear, both against the virus and anti-protest enforcement. Any of you who are in a position of privilege (white ppl mostly), PLEASE keep an eye on your surroundings. Keep poc, protesters, LGBTQ+, and everyone else safe.
